Raids on the rooms of women Congress leaders in Kerala: Party protested, said – BJP leaders were not investigated

Ahead of the Kerala by-elections, police raided the rooms of women Congress leaders late on Tuesday night. Congress leaders Bindu Kshn and Shanimol Usman, who came to Palakkad for election campaign, stayed in a hotel.

Meanwhile, the police searched his room. Police suspect that black money is being used in election campaign. However, the police did not find anything in the investigation.

Congress has opposed this raid. In opposition to this, the Congress leaders took out a protest rally outside the police chief's office on Wednesday. He has demanded examination of CCTV footage of the hotel.

Allegation of Congress – Room of BJP leaders was not searched The Congress alleged that BJP leaders were also present in the hotel, but the police did not search them. He said that during the search, BJP and Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM) leaders reached the hotel. This shows that there is a relationship between the two parties.

The Congress party protested after the women leaders' rooms were searched.

The police said – checked the rooms of all the party leaders Police said that 12 rooms of the hotel have been searched. It was a routine check, in which the rooms of all the party leaders were searched. Hotels and lodges are being searched to avoid confusion during the Kerala by-elections.

Congress leader VD Satisan said that the police have insulted the women leaders.

By-election date changed Earlier on Monday, the date of assembly by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Kerala has been changed. The Election Commission had said that voting for 14 assembly seats in three states will now be held on November 20 instead of November 13. The result will come on 23rd November itself.

According to the Election Commission, now 9 assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh, 4 of Punjab and 1 of Kerala will go to polls on November 20. The dates have been changed on the demand of BJP, Congress, RLD and BSP.

These parties said that November 15 is Kartak Purnima and Prakash Parva of Guru Nanak Devji. While Kalapathi Rastholsevam will be celebrated in Kerala from November 13 to 15. Due to which the polling may have been affected.

Elections will be held on 20 November only on 288 seats of Maharashtra Assembly and 38 seats of Jharkhand. Apart from this, there are by-elections for Maharashtra's Nanded Lok Sabha seat and Uttarakhand's Kedarnath assembly seat on the same day.
