Jammu and Kashmir Police have raided 56 terrorist hideouts in two days and arrested many suspected terrorists and ground workers of Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. In raids conducted in four districts of Jammu, the police have seized many weapons, cash, electronic devices and documents.
Acting on intelligence, the police raided several places in Rajouri district on Tuesday, including houses in 9 areas. Apart from this, the police raided 12 places in Poonch, 25 in Udhampur and 10 in Riasi in two days.
Jammu Zone Additional Director General of Police (ADG) Anand Jain said further investigations would be conducted based on the seized items and information. More such operations may be conducted if needed to maintain peace in the area.
Raid in different cases Raids were conducted in separate cases related to terrorist activities in four districts of Jammu zone. Raids were conducted in Rajouri and Poonch to investigate cases related to terrorism in 2013 and this year. Also, the raids in Udhampur and Riasi were related to cases registered at Basantgarh police station.
A police spokesperson said the arrested people were supplying sensitive information, arms and funds to terrorists.
More people were going to be involved in terrorist organizations Police raids were conducted on suspected terrorists linked to Jaish and Lashkar and people working for them on the ground. Police suspect that these people want to activate more on-ground workers in Jammu, so as to increase terrorist activities.
ADGP Jain appealed to the citizens of Jammu to immediately inform the police about terrorists, their accomplices and any suspicious movement in the area.

3 encounters in 36 hours in Kashmir: House where terrorists were hiding was blown up in Srinagar
In Kashmir, there were 3 encounters between security forces and terrorists in Srinagar, Bandipora and Anantnag in 36 hours. In which 4 jawans were injured and 3 terrorists were killed. 2 to 3 terrorists were hiding in a house in Khanyar of Srinagar. The army bombarded the house. In which one Pakistani terrorist was killed. The dead body of the terrorist and ammunition were recovered from the incident site.
