President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday (August 28) made her first statement on the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. In an interview given to news agency PTI, the President said, I am disappointed and scared by this incident. In addition, Murmu said that now a lot has happened. On August 10, the police arrested a civilian volunteer named Sanjay Roy based on the CCTC footage. The President said- women with a disgusting mindset are considered weak President said- Society needs to do an honest, objective introspection and ask itself some tough questions. An often abusive mindset sees women as weaker, less capable, less intelligent human beings. Draupadi Murmu said that often people with narcissistic mentality consider women as inferior to them. They see women as less powerful, less capable, less intelligent. In the 12 years since the Nirbhaya incident, society has forgotten countless incidents of rape. This collective habit of forgetting in society is disgusting. The President further said that a society that is afraid to face history only forgets things. The time has come for India to fully face its history. We need to fight this disorder together so that it can be stopped in the beginning. We are continuously updating this news…
