This campaign will be implemented in 33 states
The initiative, to be implemented in 347 districts across 33 states and union territories, aims to increase detection of TB cases, reduce delays in diagnosis and improve treatment outcomes, particularly among high-risk groups.
This will be one more effort by the country to strengthen programmatic activities in various sectors of the country, reduce disparities in TB outcomes and achieve the goal of TB eradication.
This initiative is in line with the vision of a TB-free India which was presented by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 2018 Delhi & TB Summit.

What will happen under the campaign?
The approach of the 100-day campaign is informed by key indicators such as TB incidence rate, diagnosis coverage and death rate. This is also in line with the existing policy reforms undertaken by the Ministry, including enhanced financial support for TB patients under the Nikshay Nutrition Scheme and social support initiatives under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Some of the key focus areas of the campaign are access to advanced diagnostics, targeted screening among vulnerable groups, provision of specialized care for high-risk individuals and expanded nutritional support.
