After reaching Akhil Bharatiya Ayurveda Sansthan (AIIA), PM Modi worshiped Lord Dhanvantari.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday on Dhanvantari Jayanti and 9th Ayurveda Day across the country Rs. 12,850 crore health project was inaugurated. He reached the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in Delhi.
Meanwhile, the coverage of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) was expanded. Under this, senior citizens aged 70 years and above will get free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh.
Along with this he also started country's first Air Ambulance Sanjeevani from Rishikesh AIIMS. PM also launched various health services virtually in many states.
See the projects of the second phase of the All India Ayurveda Institute. It includes Panchakarma Hospital, Ayurvedic Pharmacy, Library, IT and Start-up Incubation Center and a 500-seat auditorium.
Inaugurated projects to enhance infrastructure and services in the states
Apart from this, facilities and services were increased in Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh, Kalyani in West Bengal, Patna in Bihar, Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, Guwahati in Assam and AIIMS in New Delhi. It also includes Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
Inaugurated Super Specialty Block at Government Medical College in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh and Critical Care Block at Bargarh, Odisha. Under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, 21 critical care blocks were laid in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Manipur, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.
The PM laid foundation stones of ESIC hospitals at Faridabad in Haryana, Bommasandra in Karnataka and Narsapur, Achyutapuram in Andhra Pradesh. About 55 lakh ESI beneficiaries will get healthcare benefits from these projects.
Foundation stones of naturopathy research centers were laid at Khordha in Odisha and Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
Ahmedabad in Gujarat for medical equipment, Hyderabad in Telangana for bulk drugs, Guwahati in Assam for pharmaceuticals and Mohali in Punjab for research on anti-bacterial and anti-viral drugs.
Country's first air ambulance service 'Sanjivani' launched at AIIMS Rishikesh.
The projects that were launched.
- The second phase of the first All India Ayurveda Institute was inaugurated.
- Launched U-WIN portal which informs vaccination timing of pregnant women.
- Launched State Specific Action Plan for Climate Change and Human Health.
- A 'Nature Tasting Campaign' was also launched to increase health awareness.

Madhya Pradesh: State's largest ESIC Super Specialty Hospital inaugurated
Also inaugurated three medical colleges at Mandsaur, Neemuch and Seoni. State's largest hospital of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is ready in Indore. PM inaugurated this super specialty hospital built at a cost of Rs 3.78 crore. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone of five nursing colleges in Shivpuri, Ratlam, Khandwa, Rajgarh and Mandsaur.
Chhattisgarh: Also inaugurated the first Naturopathy Centre, Bilaspur Sims PM Modi inaugurated Rs 290 crore project in Chhattisgarh. These projects include the inauguration of the super specialty hospital SIMS in Bilaspur and the foundation stone of the Central Yoga and Naturopathy Research Institute. In addition, the foundation stone of a 100-bed Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) was laid at Raipur.

From today more than 70 senior citizens covered under Ayushman Yojana, 6 crore people will get free treatment
Now all people aged 70 years and above will get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under this scheme, free treatment up to 5 lakh rupees will be provided every year. There will be no conditions for free treatment. No elderly person will be excluded from the ambit of this scheme on the basis of income, pension, bank balance, land or old ailment. It will benefit 6 crore people.
