Government of India to promote startups in space sector Rs. 1,000 crore will be spent. It will be spent in five. 150 crore rupees will be spent in 2025-26, 250 crore rupees in 2026-27, 2027-28 and 2028-29, and 100 crore rupees in 2029-30.
Union Minister Ashwin Vaishnav gave this information after the cabinet meeting on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the meeting. The Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) during this period provided the Ministry of Railways with Rs. Two projects worth 6,798 crores were passed.
In which 256 km railway line will be doubled in Narkatiyaganj-Raxaul-Sitamarhi-Darbhanga and Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur sections. A new railway line of 57 km will be laid between Erupalem and Namburu via Amaravati. It will pass through NTR Vijayawada and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh and Khammam district of Telangana.
Doubling in Bihar will increase connectivity with Nepal and North-East India. There will be convenience in the movement of goods trains as well as passenger trains. Both the schemes will cover 8 districts in the three states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bihar.

October 9: Free food grains to the poor till December 2028 The Union Cabinet meeting on October 9 approved the construction of 2,280 km of roads with an investment of Rs 4,406 crore in the border areas of Rajasthan and Punjab.
Approval was also given to continue supply of free fortified rice under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PM-GKAY) and other welfare schemes from July 2024 to December 2028. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that it will cost Rs 17,082 crore, which will be fully borne by the central government.
He said that the world's largest National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) will be developed at Lothal in Gujarat.
October 3: Announcement of 78 days bonus for railway employees
A 78-day bonus for railway employees was announced in the Union Cabinet meeting held on October 3. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the government has approved a productivity-linked bonus of Rs 2,029 crore for railway employees.
He said that this announcement will benefit 11,72,240 railway employees. The government has also approved the Pradhan Mantri-Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and the Krishnanati Yojana. A provision of Rs 1,01,321 crore was made for this.
Apart from this, Marathi, Pali, Prakrit, Assamese and Bengali were given the status of classical languages. The Government of India established a classical language category in 2004, starting with Tamil.
August 12: Modi Cabinet approves 12 industrial cities
The first meeting of the Council of Ministers of the third term of the Modi government was held on August 28 at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan in Delhi. In this, the Union Economic Affairs Cabinet has approved 12 new industrial smart cities in 9 states and these 12 industrial smart cities spread across 10 states and adjacent to six major corridors will prove to be an important leap forward in promoting manufacturing. Government under National Industrial Corridor Development Program on this Rs. 28,602 crore will be invested.
August 9: 3 crore new houses, 8 railway projects approved under Modi government's housing scheme
The Union Cabinet on August 9 approved the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 Yojana. Under this scheme, three crore houses will be constructed at a cost of Rs 3,60,000 crore. Eight railway projects were sanctioned to improve connectivity. Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed the decisions of the Cabinet. As per the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 scheme, families belonging to the EWS/LIG/Middle Income Group (MIG) segment who do not have a permanent house anywhere in the country are eligible to purchase or construct a house under PMAY-U 2.0.
June 10: Modi's first cabinet meeting 3.0
On June 10, he was welcomed when he reached the PM office. After this he signed the first file.
After taking oath as the Prime Minister for the third time, the Prime Minister held the first meeting of the Council of Ministers on the very next day i.e. on 10 June. In which three crore new houses were allowed to be built for the poor. A total of 4.21 crore houses have been constructed under this scheme in the last 10 years. Under the scheme, financial assistance is provided from the Central and State Governments for construction of houses.
PM Modi also signed the Samman Nidhi file. Under the Centre's Farmers Welfare Scheme, 9.3 crore farmers of the country are getting Rs. 6,000 as financial assistance is provided. This is called Kisan Samman Nidhi. Modi approved its 17th phase.
