New cabinet to take oath on September 21 with Atishi: Mukesh Ahlawat as new cabinet minister, Gopal Rai- Saurabh Bharadwaj, five cabinet ministers will also take oath.

After Kejriwal's resignation on September 17, Atishi met LG Vinay Saxena and proposed to form the government.

Atishi will take oath as Delhi Chief Minister on September 21. Atishi will take oath with his cabinet. Mukesh Ahlawat will be the new face in the cabinet.

AAP said Mukesh will replace Social Justice Minister Rajkumar Anand. Ahlawat is an MLA from Delhi's Sultanpur Majra seat. He is the Dalit face of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The Cabinet of Delhi Government has seven members including the Chief Minister. The tenure of the new Chief Minister and the new members will be short, as the tenure of the current assembly is till February 2025.

Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Imran Hussain will continue as ministers in the cabinet. The name of the seventh member is yet to be announced.

Arvind Kejriwal proposed Atishi's name in the MLA meeting on September 17. After this he was elected as Chief Minister. Kejriwal resigned on the same day.

The Atishi Cabinet has been announced in Delhi. Along with Atishi becoming the CM on September 21, these five MLAs will also take oath as ministers.

These 5 ministers will take oath along with Atishi

1. Gopal Rai

2. Kailash Gehlot

3. Saurabh Bharadwaj

4. Imran Hussain

5. Mukesh Ahlawat

Atishi was in the Delhi Cabinet in March 2023 Atishi was a member of the party's manifesto drafting committee for the 2013 assembly elections. He has also been the spokesperson of the party. He represents the Kalkaji constituency in the Delhi Assembly and is responsible for most of the departments of the Delhi government.

Atishi was appointed to the Delhi Cabinet in March 2023 amid difficulties facing the AAP after the arrest of Manish Sisodia in the liquor policy case. Atishi will face many challenges as he will be the main face of the party to bring Aam Aadmi Party back to power in Delhi.

After being elected as the CM, Atishi said that I have only two jobs till the next election. first- To save the people of Delhi from the conspiracies of the BJP. Second- To make Kejriwal the Chief Minister again.

Why did Kejriwal resign, 3 reasons…

1. Kejriwal has no power Arvind Kejriwal is out on bail after 177 days in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. The Supreme Court put a condition that he would not go to the CM's office or sign any file. It means that despite being the Chief Minister after coming out of jail, he no longer has power.

2. Remaining 5 months of tenure The term of the Delhi Assembly ends in February 2025. That means the government has only 5 months left. Elections will also be held during this period. Meanwhile, governments make greedy decisions. Kejriwal is bound by the terms of the court's decision. There is sympathy for Kejriwal after his release from jail. Kejriwal wants to take advantage of this sympathy by demanding elections two-three months earlier.

3. Will strengthen the image of an honest leader Ever since Kejriwal's name surfaced in the Delhi Liquor Policy case and he was arrested, BJP leaders have been demanding Arvind Kejriwal's removal as Chief Minister. After resigning, he will be able to directly tell the BJP leaders that he resigned as chief minister because of the allegations. His sincerity will now be decided by the public.
