Police arrested accused Niharika and Nikhil from Hyderabad and Ankur from Haridwar.
Three weeks ago (October 8), the decomposed body of a man was found in a coffee plantation in Karnataka's Kodagu district. The police were also having difficulty in identifying the body. After a long investigation, the police found that the body belonged to Ramesh, a 54-year-old businessman who had gone missing a few weeks ago. On further investigation by the police, it was found that Ramesh's wife Niharika had committed the murder. Niharika along with her lover Nikhil and another accused Ankur conspired to kill her husband. The police have arrested all three.
The police started scanning the CCTV footage installed in the area to trace the accused. Meanwhile, a red colored Mercedes Benz caught their attention. The car was found registered in the name of Ramesh, whose wife had recently filed a missing complaint. As the police investigation progressed, the police suspected the role of Ramesh's wife Niharika P (29).
Police detained Niharika on suspicion. During interrogation she confessed to the crime and said that she along with her lovers Nikhil and Ankur had killed her husband. The police found that Niharika had a troubled childhood. Her father died when she was 16 and her mother remarried.
Niharika was good at studies, she also got a job after completing her engineering studies. She got married at a young age. He also had one child from this marriage, though the marriage later broke up.
Niharika, who lives in Haryana, had to go to jail in a financial fraud case. Ankur found her in jail. After coming out of jail, Niharika married Ramesh. This was his second marriage. Niharika's fortune brightened after her marriage to Ramesh.
Officials revealed that the murder took place near Hyderabad, where Ramesh was strangled to death with a rope. After committing the crime, the suspects drove her back to her apartment in a car and stole valuable documents, including cash. The suspects then went to Bengaluru, bought petrol and traveled 800 kilometers to Kodagu in Karnataka, where they burnt the body in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Asked for 8 crore rupees from her husband One day she asked her husband for 8 crore rupees. Ramesh refused to give the money. Because of this, Niharika got angry. Niharika had an affair with Nikhil. He conspired to kill Ramesh to grab his property. On October 1, a businessman was strangled to death in Uppal, Hyderabad. They went to Kodagu, 800 km from Uppal, and dumped the body in a coffee estate.

Search-operation from 500 CCTVs Kodagu police chief Ramarajan said it was a challenging case, as everything was completely destroyed. The body was cremated 3-4 days before the complaint was filed. Our crime team started investigating suspicious activities in the area. Investigation revealed that a vehicle was plying suspiciously in the area between 12pm and 2am. We checked the CCTV footage, but since it was night, the pictures were not clear. We examined the footage from 500 CCTV cameras from Tumkur. We were able to trace a vehicle from Telangana, belonging to a businessman named Ramesh.
Based on our investigation we have arrested several suspects, identified as 29-year-old Niharika and 28-year-old veterinary doctor Nikhil. Nebula was the prime suspect. He confessed his crime in police custody.
