BJP MP Tejashwi Surya completed the Ironman 70.3 challenge on Sunday. He is the first MP to complete this challenge. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised him for this. PM wrote on X- Commendable achievement! I am sure this will motivate many youngsters towards fitness. At the same time, Tejaswi described himself as inspired by PM Modi's Fit India movement.
This triathlon challenge held in Goa includes 2 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running. During the entire event, the participants covered a distance of 113 km. Tejashwi completed these three segments in 8 hours, 27 minutes and 32 seconds.
Tejashwi also participated in the year 2022. However, at that time he had completed only a 90 km cycling segment. Tejashwi is an MP from Bengaluru South seat in Karnataka. He is also the national president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP.

The first segment of the triathlon challenge was a 2 km swim.
The second segment consisted of cycling for 90 km.
The third and final segment involved a 21 km race.

Fitness goals push your limits and make you a better person. This challenge puts the ultimate test of one's endurance as well as mental and physical fitness. In the last 4 months I have worked hard to improve my fitness. I am happy to have completed it.
People from 50 countries participated, 60% of them first timers Athletes and fitness enthusiasts from 50 countries participated in the Ironman 70.3 challenge. More than 120 contestants working in the Central and State Governments also participated, of which about 12 to 15% were women. At the same time more than 60% of the participants were participating for the first time.
