Monsoon tracker in the country: No rain in Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh for next 4 days; Snowfall in Himachal, cold on hills

The Meteorological Department has not issued any heavy rainfall alert in any state of the country today. In Rajasthan too, there will be no rain for the next four days. The state has received more than 59 percent rainfall so far this monsoon season.

In Madhya Pradesh, 12 districts including Gwalior and Indore received rain on Wednesday. However, there is no chance of rain in MP today. There will be only cloudy weather here for the next four days. On the other hand, in Bihar, 76 government schools will remain closed for the next 3 days as the Ganga river is flowing above the danger mark.

While in Himachal Pradesh, the temperature of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur has dropped a lot due to rain and snowfall in the last three-four days. It's getting cold on the mountains.

50 roads closed in Himachal Pradesh 50 roads remained closed in Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday due to rain. Some parts of the state received moderate rainfall. During the monsoon season from June 1 to September 17, rainfall decreased by 18 percent.

The state has recorded 569.3 mm rainfall till September 18 against an average of 698.3 mm rainfall. Meanwhile, a total of 172 people have died in rain-related incidents, while 30 people are still missing.

Floods in several districts of West Bengal Many southern districts of West Bengal are under flood conditions. The barrages and dams here are full. Water is being released from the dam. Due to this, flood situation has arisen in many districts. Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has released water from its barrage. Because of which the situation is likely to remain bad for the next 2-3 days.

According to Anjani K Dubey, Chief Engineer, DVC Maithon, 2.1 lakh cusecs of water was released from the DVC on Tuesday night. It was reduced on Wednesday morning. This was because there was no rain in the upper reaches. A water release of more than 1.5 lakh cusecs is considered a red alert.

There was light rain in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Meanwhile, tourists had arrived in Agra to see the temple amid the rain.

Floodwaters have entered houses in Odisha's Birbhum. Meanwhile, the local people had placed sacks to stop the water.

The weather system formed in the Bay of Bengal has now weakened. Because of this, there will be a break in the monsoon rains in Rajasthan again. Scattered rain may occur in some parts of eastern region today, while weather is likely to remain clear in rest of the districts. According to weather experts, there is little chance of heavy rain in Rajasthan in the next 4-5 days and there is no alert.
