Mercury to plunge to 3°C in Rajasthan: Rivers and drains freeze in Himachal; Cloudy over MP including Bhopal-Indore

According to the Meteorological Department, many states of North India, except Rajasthan, will see a drop in night temperatures for the next three-four days. So it can be bitterly cold. Due to the winds coming from the mountains, the cold has also increased in the states of North India.

Rajasthan's Sikar recorded a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The minimum temperature was 10 degree Celsius in Karauli, Baran, Churu, Chittorgarh of the state. The temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state in the coming days.

High peaks of Kullu and Lahaul Spiti in Himachal Pradesh continued to receive snowfall on Tuesday. Due to which Kalpa of the state recorded a minimum temperature of -1 degree Celsius. Due to decrease in temperature, springs, rivers and canals have also started freezing.

Yesterday the weather remained clear in Shimla and many other areas. Due to which the maximum temperature was also slightly increased. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear weather all over the state from Wednesday till December 7. However, there will be fog in the plain areas of the state.

The department has forecast rain and snowfall in higher elevations of Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu, Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi and Kangra districts on December 8 and 9.

In Madhya Pradesh, Chhindwara, Sivni, Betul, Malwa-Nimar, Bundelkhand had cloudy weather on Tuesday. According to the Meteorological Department, it is likely to remain cloudy for the next two days, but there is no chance of rain. The night temperature has also increased by up to 6 degrees due to clouds.

Improvement in Delhi's air, AQI moved from bad to moderate An improvement was seen in Delhi's air quality on Wednesday. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI was recorded at 211 at 8 am on Wednesday. Due to which the level of pollution has reached from bad to moderate level. However, 15 of the city's 39 monitoring stations recorded moderate air quality and the remaining 24 as poor.

A day ago on Tuesday, Delhi's AQI stood at 268 in the worst category. It was 273 on Monday and 285 on Sunday. The city recorded a minimum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius yesterday, 2.5 degrees Celsius above the season's average, the Met department said. Light fog is likely during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 27 degree Celsius.

Uttar Pradesh: Meerut records low of 10 degrees Celsius, AQI improves in western UP

Meerut was the coldest city in UP on Monday night. A minimum temperature of 10.0 degrees Celsius was recorded here. Meteorologist Dr. Shahi said that there was a change in the atmosphere again on Tuesday. The night temperature decreased while the day temperature increased. The air has improved in the cities of western UP in two days. AQI has come down from Red Zone in Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida, Bulandshahr, Muzaffarnagar.

Rajasthan: Winter will intensify from Thursday, with day and night temperatures dropping by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Cold force may increase in Rajasthan from December 5. The temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state. Along with this, cold winds may blow in the cities of North-East Rajasthan in the morning and evening. In the last 24 hours, the sky was clear all over the state.

Madhya Pradesh: Cloudy cover across state including Bhopal-Indore, cold in Gwalior-Chambal due to icy winds

Madhya Pradesh currently has two types of weather. Due to Fangal storm, the state has cloudy weather. Due to which the night temperature increased by 6 degrees. On the other hand, Gwalior-Chambal is shivering due to icy winds. Cloudy weather will remain for next 2-3 days and night temperature will increase. After this, the state will get cold again.

Chhattisgarh: Cold will increase for next 4 days, Night temperature will drop to 4 degrees Celsius .

The weather in Chhattisgarh has started to clear after Cyclone Fangal has passed. Due to which the cold will increase at night. The Meteorological Department says that the night temperature will continue to drop for the next three-four days. Also, Bastar is likely to witness cloudy weather and light rain for the next three days.
