The effect of cold and dense fog is continuously increasing in the North Indian states of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a dense fog alert in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on Friday. Dense fog reduced visibility to 500 meters in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur and Kanpur on Wednesday morning. On the other hand, Rajasthan's hill station Mount Abu recorded a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. Madhya Pradesh is also getting colder. 8 cities of MP recorded temperatures below 10 degrees. The temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 10.2 degrees. This is the third lowest temperature in November in the last 10 years.
As winter is now in full swing in Gujarat's Kutch, the mercury dropped by 1.1 degrees to reach 13 degrees in the early morning and evening as if winter has entered the state from Nalia, known as Kashmir in Gujarat. Had to resort to warm clothes. The minimum and maximum temperatures of districts across the state have deteriorated in just one week. Due to which many people have also fallen ill. There are chances of continuous cold weather till the next month of January.
