The Manipur government has extended the ban on mobile internet services in 7 districts for two more days. Internet service was banned for the first two days on November 16 in Imphal West, Imphal East, Kakching, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts.
Violence continues in Manipur. Keeping this in mind the ban is being extended continuously. The Home Department has issued a notice. Earlier on November 19, the government had lifted the ban on broadband services. So that the work of schools, colleges, hospitals, government offices does not stop.
At the same time, two more people were arrested in connection with the vandalism and arson of MLAs' houses on November 16. Police have arrested 34 people so far. According to the police, the search for more people is going on. A search is on in Imphal for this.
On November 11, 10 Kuki-jo militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jiribam. After this, three women and three children from the Maitei community were abducted. Since then violence has continued in 7 districts. Bodies of abducted women and children were recovered from Jiri river in Manipur and Barak river in Kachar, Assam.

288 companies of the Central Armed Forces have been deployed for the security of Manipur. Another 90 companies were deployed on Friday. Manipur Chief Security Adviser Kuldeep Singh said that companies are being sent to different places. Companies of CRPF, SSB, Assam Rifles, ITBP and other armed forces are stationed in Manipur.
Chief Security Adviser Kuldeep Singh said that we have made solid arrangements. A new coordination cell and joint control room will be created in each district. We have already reviewed the existing cells and joint control room.
