Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra released its manifesto on Sunday. MVA named it 'Maharashtranama'. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that we have 5 pillars for the development of Maharashtra. Growth and progress of Maharashtra will depend on agriculture, rural development, industry and employment, urban development, environment and public welfare.
Khadge said- We are giving 5 guarantees and this will be for the welfare of entire Maharashtra. We will provide an annual assistance of Rs 3 lakh to each family. We will give 3,000 rupees per month to Mahalakshmi Yojana women. There will be free bus service for women. We will give 50 thousand rupees to those farmers who have repaid their loan on time.
5 Guarantees of Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) for Maharashtra
1. Mahalakshmi: 3 thousand rupees per month to women. Free bus service for women.
2. Family protection: Health insurance up to Rs 25 lakh, free medicine.
3. Agricultural prosperity: Farmers' loans up to Rs 3 lakh will be waived off. On repayment of regular loan Rs. 50 thousand incentive.
4. Promise to Youth: Help of 4 thousand rupees per month to the unemployed.
5. Guarantee of Equality: There will be a caste census. 50% reservation limit will be removed.
Khadge said – The double engine government has gone off track
After announcing the manifesto, the Congress president has once again targeted the current Mahayutti government in Maharashtra. Khadge said – The double engine government has gone off track. It is important for Maharashtra to defeat the Mahayuti government and support MVA for good governance.
Khadge said- MVA's manifesto has emphasized on rural and urban development and development of agriculture. Caste census is not meant to divide people but to understand how different communities are placed so that they can benefit more.
Compared to 2019, Congress is fighting on fewer seats
Compared to the 2019 assembly elections, the Congress is contesting on fewer seats this time. Last time, Congress fielded its candidates on 147 seats. This time 44 less candidates have entered the fray. BJP has fielded 103 candidates, Uddhav group has fielded 89 candidates and Sharad group has fielded 87 candidates from MVA.
