Posters have been put up in Barmati. In which Ajit Pawar has been called the CM face of Mahayuti.
A day before the assembly election results, pressure politics has started in Maharashtra regarding the new CM. Posters showing NCP Ajit group chief Ajit Pawar as the future CM have been put up in Baramati.
On the other hand, a day before the results of the Maharashtra assembly elections, the tussle over the Chief Minister issue has started in the Maha Vikas Aghadi. Congress leader Nana Patole said- Mahavikas Aghadi government will be formed under the leadership of Congress in Maharashtra. The trends suggest that Congress will get more seats. So the government will be formed under the leadership of Congress.
Patole's statement did not go down well with Sanjay Raut of Shiv Sena (UBT). Raut said Maha Vikas Aghadi will form the government, but the MVA coalition partners will decide who will be the chief minister. I will not accept it. No one will accept.
Raut also said that if the Congress high command has told Patole that he will become the CM, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should make the announcement.
Uddhav's Shiv Sena weak in MVA, Congress superior in Vidarbha
Congress, which was ranked fourth in the 2019 elections, is looking superior to its allies this time. In the Lok Sabha elections, Congress surprised by winning maximum 13 seats. Out of the 62 seats in Vidarbha, Congress can win around 50 seats. Congress has fielded the maximum 101 candidates in the alliance.
Shiv Sena (the Uddhav faction), the second largest party in Mahavikas Aghadi, may prove to be the weakest. The party has fielded 95 candidates. Only one-third of these have a chance of winning. Sharad Pawar's party NCP (SP) is looking strong in western Maharashtra and Marathwada. He may benefit from Maratha votes.
Maharashtra saw 66% voter turnout, 5% more than 2019
Voting for the 288 seats of the Maharashtra Assembly was held in a single phase on November 20. The final figures of the polls were in. This time, 66% voting was done by EVMs, which is 5% more than 2019's 61.1% voting. Kolhapur had the highest voter turnout of 76.6%.
Jharkhand recorded a total voter turnout of 67.74%, which was 1.65% higher than the 2019 election figures. Here, out of 81 seats in Jharkhand, women outnumber men in 68 seats.
Raut said- Exit polls are the biggest fraud
Raut dismissed the exit polls as a fraud. He claimed that MVA would form the government and win 160 seats. Raut said exit polls are a fraud in this country. We have seen exit poll numbers crossing 400 during the Lok Sabha elections. We saw Congress cross 60 in Haryana elections.
Counting of votes is scheduled to take place on November 23 in both the states. However, in Maharashtra, 6 out of 11 exit polls have projected the BJP to form a coalition government.
In the remaining 4 exit polls, the Congress alliance i.e. Mahavikas Aghadi is said to get majority. One has a hung assembly.
