Maharashtra assembly election dates have been announced. The Central Election Committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party was held on Wednesday. In which the names of the candidates were discussed. BJP is ahead in finalizing the names of the candidates.
BJP CEC has decided 110 names for Delhi meeting. Among them, the first list of 50 to 60 names may be announced from Delhi on Friday. Most of these will be sitting MLAs. However, faces may change on some seats. Tickets of some ministers may also be cut.
Sources say that the BJP is firm on its stand that it will not contest on less than 150 seats. After this, the remaining 138 seats will be shared between the Shinde Sena and the Ajit group.
The Election Commission announced the date of Maharashtra assembly elections on October 15. All 288 seats in the state will go to polls in a single phase on November 20.
The result will be declared on 23rd November. The main parties involved in the grand coalition government in Maharashtra are BJP, Shiv Sena Shinde and NCP (Ajit).
Sharad Pawar said – Patil will take the decision regarding seat distribution Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday said that a consensus has been reached among the three allies of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) on 200 of the total 288 seats for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra. MVA consists of NCP (SP), Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT).
In Satara, Maharashtra, Pawar said that the results of the Haryana elections will not have any impact on the Maharashtra elections. Congress has faced defeat from BJP in Haryana. In response to a question, he said, 'I am not directly involved in the seat sharing discussion.'
Jayant Patil (NCP-SP state unit chief) is representing the party. According to the information received from him, agreement has been reached on 200 of the total 288 seats. When asked which seats the NCP (SP) would seek in Satara district, he said that Patil would decide on seat distribution.
Congress CEC will meet on October 20 The Maharashtra Congress will hold a Central Election Committee meeting on October 20, in which the list of candidates for the state will be finalised.
