Kolkata Rape-Murder, 11 Evidences in CBI Chargesheet: Accused Sanjay's Body Traces, DNA-Hair Confirmed; Protest of trainee doctors

The CBI has collected 11 pieces of evidence against accused Sanjay Roy in the Kolkata trainee doctor rape and murder case. All these evidences have been mentioned in the charge sheet and Sanjay Roy has been made the main accused.

News agency PTI, quoting a copy of the charge sheet, reported that the victim protested against Sanjay during the incident. The victim has been addressed as V in the charge sheet. The CBI said that Sanjay's DNA was found on the victim's body and a small hair was also found.

A trainee doctor was raped and murdered in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College on the night of August 8. On August 9, the victim's body was recovered from the medical college. Sanjay Roy was arrested by the police on August 10 after preliminary investigation.

The trainee doctors are on a hunger strike to protest the incident, which has also been joined by the Federation of All India Medical Associations (FAIMA). Today FAIMA is on hunger strike across the country.

3 points of CBI's chargesheet… 1. Sanjay's DNA has been confirmed on the victim's body. Small hairs are also found. Blood of the victim was also found on Sanjay's jeans. 2. During the incident, the victim resisted Sanjay, due to which Sanjay was injured. The victim's struggle marks were found on Sanjay's body. 3. The presence of Sanjay Roy has been seen in the CCTV footage of the place where this incident took place. Apart from this, Sanjay's call detail report and mobile location also confirmed that he was present at the scene.

The CBI had said in the first charge sheet – there was no gangrape In the first chargesheet, the CBI had ruled out the possibility of gang rape of the trainee doctor. The CBI said that Sanjay Roy committed the crime single-handedly. The CBI came to this conclusion after conducting nearly 100 witness statements and 12 polygraph tests.

The police identified Sanjay from the CCTV footage. In the footage, he was seen entering the seminar hall at 4 am on August 9. Meanwhile, he was wearing earphones in his ears. When he came out of the hall about 40 minutes later, he had no earphones. Police found a Bluetooth earphone at the crime scene, which was connected to his phone.

CBI to investigate attack on woman in custody Two women detained during the Kolkata rape-murder protests have moved the Kolkata High Court. He said he was kept in custody from September 8 to 11 during the demonstration. During this time he was physically abused.

Justice Rajshree Bhardwaj on Tuesday handed over the investigation of the case to the CBI. Justice Bharadwaj said – Custodial torture is a very serious matter. There should be an impartial and independent investigation. The policemen have been charged. In this matter, it is not appropriate to have an investigation by the local police.

FAIMA on nationwide hunger strike today, 50 senior doctors resign

Junior doctors presented their demands during a rally on October 9 in Kolkata.

Junior doctors in Kolkata are on a fast unto death since the evening of 5th October. He is firm on 9 demands, including the removal of Health Secretary NS Nigam. The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) is on a nationwide hunger strike today in support of him. Delhi doctors have also joined the hunger strike.

After this the doctors ended the strike. He returned to work in hospitals. On September 27, the case of beating of 3 doctors and 3 nurses at Sagar Dutta Hospital came to light, which angered the doctors and resumed the strike from October 1.

On October 4, the junior doctors called off the strike

He said that we are returning to work, as government hospitals are facing problems with large number of patients. However, he gave a 24-hour ultimatum to the state government. After this he started fasting.
