Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a militant and Khalistan supporter of the separatist outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has threatened to shut down Amritsar and Chandigarh airports on November 17. Pannu alleges that the Indian government has banned wearing the kirpan, a symbol of Sikhism, inside airports.
Terming the decision as an attack on the Sikh community, Pannu expressed apprehension of further restrictions on Sikh religious symbols in the future. Terrorist Pannu has gone viral on social media in a video of himself, in which he is seen threatening the Indian government.
He has alleged that the Indian government may also ban Dastar (turban) in the coming days. After this, the Indian government could prevent Sikhs from wearing their religious symbols even at home. Pannu has tried to incite the youth of Punjab and talked about shutting down Amritsar and Chandigarh airports on November 17.
Let us tell you that on October 30, the Bureau of Civil Aviation (BCAS) ordered not to wear kirpan at airports in India. BCAS in its order has said that Sikh employees working at the airport will not be allowed to wear kirpans in view of security.
BCAS said the orders were issued due to security protocols. After which the controversy started.
of Pannu 3 main points of a fiery statement…
1. Sikhs have to establish Sri Ganesha outside the house Pannu has warned in his video that the Indian government has banned Kirpan. Restrictions may also be imposed on Dastar tomorrow. This Indian government will force all Sikhs to wear the sacred thread. Sikhs have to establish Sri Ganesha outside their homes to save their lives.
2. Study the weapons Pannu said that the Indian Constitution considers Sikhism as a part of Hinduism. Under this Indian constitution, the Golden Temple was attacked, Sikhs massacred and 15-20 farmers commit suicide every month in Punjab. Freedom is never achieved by folding hands and laws are never withdrawn. Remember, study weapons for physical strength.
3. Roads and airways are blocked by eulanos Inciting the youth of Punjab, Pannu has called for blocking roads with tractors at the airport on November 17. He says the protest is a way to make the world aware of the impending threat to the existence of the Sikh community. Sikhs will have to fight for their freedom, just as their forefathers did.
Pannu was declared a terrorist in 2020 In 2019, the Government of India banned Pannu's outfit SFJ under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act i.e. UAPA on charges of carrying out terrorist activities.
