Kejriwal's Resignation Announcement: Said- Will Resign After 2 Days, I Will Give Ordeal Like Sita; I will not sit on the chair till the election

Arvind Kejriwal, who came out of jail on bail two days ago, said on Sunday that he will resign from the post of Chief Minister in two days. Kejriwal was speaking at the Aam Aadmi Party office. He said- BJP has accused me of dishonesty and corruption, now my honesty will be decided in the court of people. I will not sit on the Chief Minister's chair till the election.

Kejriwal said that Manish Sisodia also faces the same charges as me. He too will not hold this position, will assume his position only after winning the election.

Kejriwal's speech, 4 messages 1. Arrived with Bhagat Singh's book: In the party meeting, Kejriwal arrived with the book 'Bhagat Singh's Dale Diary' written by Bhagat Singh in jail. Said that Bhagat Singh's letters were being taken out by the British. I was in jail, did not deliver my letter to LG. I was threatened not to do it again.

2. Called himself a revolutionary Chief Minister: Kejriwal said that after Bhagat Singh, a revolutionary chief minister went to jail after 90-95 years in independent India. Three days before August 15, I had asked the LG to allow Atishi to hoist the tricolor in my place. The letter did not reach the LG.

3. My ordeal like Mother Sita: The Delhi CM said that Mother Sita had to go through an ordeal when Lord Ram returned from exile after 14 years. Today I will give an ordeal.

4. Delhi assembly elections should be held in November: Kejriwal said- the election is in February, my demand is that the election should be held in November. Elections should be held with Maharashtra. I will not take responsibility till your decision comes. Someone else from the Aam Aadmi Party will become the Chief Minister.

5. Don't resign if non-BJP CM goes to jail: Kejriwal said – I pray to all non-BJP CMs. Don't resign if PM sends you to jail. We all have to fight together. Aam Aadmi Party failed their formula.

Kejriwal announced his resignation while addressing workers at the AAP office in Delhi.

Kejriwal's resignation means 2 things… 1. Kejriwal has no power: Arvind Kejriwal is out on bail after 177 days in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. The Supreme Court put a condition that he would not go to the CM's office or sign any file. It means that despite being the Chief Minister after coming out of jail, he no longer has power. The government will run on the trust of the cabinet.

2. Remaining 5 months of tenure: The term of the Delhi Assembly ends in February 2025. That means the government has only 5 months left. Elections will also be held during this period. During this period, governments make democratic decisions. Kejriwal is bound by the terms of the court's decision. There is sympathy for Kejriwal after his release from jail. Kejriwal wants to take advantage of this sympathy by demanding elections two-three months earlier.

Kejriwal government in Delhi since 2013 Aam Aadmi Party led by Kejriwal has been in power in Delhi since 2013. Assembly elections were held on 4 December 2013 in Delhi for a total of 70 seats. Result out on 8 December 2013. In which BJP emerged as the largest party with 32 seats. However, AAP won 28 seats and Congress 8 seats. With the support of Congress, Arvind Kejriwal became the Chief Minister and formed the government. However, the alliance between the two parties collapsed after 49 days. On 7 February 2015, the assembly elections were again held in Delhi. AAP has got 67 seats in this. Five years later, in the assembly elections held on February 8, 2020, AAP won 62 of the total 70 seats.
