Kejriwal's custody extended till September 11 in CBI case: Rouse Avenue court takes cognizance of CBI's supplementary charge sheet

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has extended the custody of CM Arvind Kejriwal in the CBI case in the Leaker Policy case till September 11. The court also took note of the CBI's supplementary charge sheet. The CBI filed a supplementary charge sheet against Arvind Kejriwal, Durgesh Pathak, Vinod Chauhan, Ashish Mathur, Sarath Reddy. The court has given time till September 11 to respond to the accused. On August 27, the court reserved its decision on the CBI's supplementary charge sheet. Later, Kejriwal appeared in the court through video conferencing from Tihar Jail. The CBI sought 14 days of judicial custody, but the court extended the custody for only one week, i.e. till September 3. CBI arrested Kejriwal on June 26. ED and CBI case is going on against Kejriwal in leaker policy case. ED arrested Kejriwal on March 21. However, he has already got bail in this case. He is in jail in a CBI case. The CBI arrested Kejriwal on June 26 on charges of corruption in the Leaker Policy case. Kejriwal gets bail from Supreme Court in ED case on July 12 The Supreme Court on July 12 granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the ED money laundering case. Granting bail, Justice Sanjiv Khanna said that Kejriwal has been in jail for 90 days. So we direct them to be released. We know that he is an elected leader and it is up to him to decide whether he wants to be the chief minister or not. Justice Khanna said that we are transferring this case to a larger bench.
