Jammu-Kashmir Elections: BJP manifesto released: 5 lakh jobs, 2 free cylinders promised every year; Shah said – Article 370 will never be brought

The BJP on Friday released the party manifesto for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections on September 6. Home Minister Amit Shah said that a transport allowance of Rs 3,000 will be given to college students every year. Students studying in class 10 will get tablets and laptops. He said, '5 lakh jobs will be provided. Beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will be given 2 free LPG cylinders every year. Landless people will be given 5 marla land free of cost through Atal Awas Yojana. Home Minister said – Article 370 will not be allowed Amit Shah said, 'Jammu-Kashmir belongs to India, was and always will be. The state has grown and grown in the last 10 years. Today Article 370 and 35 (A) have become a thing of the past. This is no longer part of our constitution. All this has happened because of the strong decision of PM Narendra Modi. Gulmarg and Pahalgam in the Kashmir Valley will be developed into modern tourist towns. Tawi Riverfront will be built in Srinagar. A separate Lake Development Authority will be constituted for Ranjitsagar Dam Basohli. IT hub will be created as Special Economic Zone in Jammu Employment: 5 lakh jobs will be provided through Pandit Premnath Dogra Employment Scheme. 40 star campaigners including Modi-Shah made BJP has announced a list of 40 star campaigners including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda for election campaign in Jammu and Kashmir. The names of Shivraj Chauhan, Yogi Adityanath and Smriti Irani are also in the list. BJP may support independent candidates on some seats in Kashmir Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina said that considering the ground situation in some constituencies of the Valley, the BJP may support some independent candidates. Congress-National Conference form pre-poll alliance The Congress and the National Conference (NC) have entered into a pre-poll alliance. NC is fielding candidates on 52 seats and Congress on 31 seats. Both parties have left two seats, one to the CPI(M) in the Valley and the other to the Panthers Party in the Jammu division. Both the NC and the Congress will field their candidates on five seats of Nagarota, Banihal, Doda and Bhadarwah in Jammu division and Sopore in the Valley, in what the alliance calls a 'friendly contest'. Following this, on 5 August 2019, the BJP government abrogated Article 370 and bifurcated the state into two union territories (Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh). In this way, assembly elections are being held in Jammu and Kashmir after 10 years.
