- 16% saw inflation as a major concern in the country; Poverty is the biggest pain
India ranks second among the 29 countries in the world where most people rate the current economic situation as the best. Singapore ranks first. This was revealed in the monthly survey of 'What worries the world the most' by global market research firm Ipsos. 78% of Indians included in it rated the current economic condition of the country as excellent. In one year, the number of people who believe this has increased by 4%. 61% people in the world say that the economic condition of their country is bad. In Japan, the highest number of people who believe this is 86%.
For the first time in two-and-a-half years since the Russia-Ukraine war broke out, 'inflation' is no longer the world's biggest concern, the survey says. Now 'violence and crime' is the biggest concern. In India, the number of people who consider inflation to be their biggest concern has fallen by 16% year-on-year. However, still 30% of people in the country consider inflation and unemployment as a major concern. Among the top-5 concerns, only poverty-inequality increased by 4%.
Effect of War; Violence is a major concern for 31%

- Indians are careless about 'climate change' which is causing the most damage to the world including India.
- Only 13% of Indians in the survey cited this as a concern. Even in the world only 16% people have considered this as a major concern.
- Despite the long-standing border dispute between Pakistan and China, only 10% of Indians are concerned about military conflict.
- 'Economic and political corruption' tops the world's top 5 concerns, but the number of people citing it as a top concern has dropped by 1% over the past year.
Europeans are the least and Asians the most concerned in every measure… South American country Chile is most concerned for 'violence and criminality'. Only 7% of people in the Eastern European country of Hungary are worried about this. Turkish residents (57%) are the most concerned about inflation in the world. Swedes (17%) are the most optimistic about inflation in the world. Thais (47%) see the highest level of 'poverty and social inequality' in their country.
