India's second nuclear submarine Arighat is ready. It may be handed over to the Indian Navy tomorrow (August 29). Arighat was launched in 2017. Since then its testing was going on. Now finally it will be operationalized. Arighat is an upgraded version of INS Arihant. She was built at the Indian Navy's Ship Building Center (SBC) in Visakhapatnam. Like the Arihant, the Arighat will also be armed with K-15 missiles with a range of 750 km. India has prepared 3 submarines equipped with nuclear missiles The Indian Navy has so far prepared 3 nuclear submarines. One of them Arihant is operational, another Arighat is to be found and the third S3 is undergoing testing. Nuclear missile attack on enemy countries can be done by this submarine. For the first time in 2009, INS Arihant was launched by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's wife on the occasion of Kargil Victory Day. After this he was inducted into the Navy in 2016. Indian Navy has launched two more submarines in next 5 years. India hid the submarine from the world before launching it in 2009. In 1990, the Government of India launched the ATV i.e. Advanced Technology Vessel programme. It was under this that the construction of this submarine was started. INS Arighat, the only 6 nuclear triad countries in the world, including India, is capable of conducting an undersea missile attack in the same manner as the Arihant on 14 October 2022 after successfully test-firing the K-15 SLBM from the Arihant. With this, India became the sixth nuclear triad country in the world apart from America, Russia, Britain, France and China. Now understand in simple language what is nuclear triad? We understand this from the example of India and Pakistan. Suppose India and Pakistan start preparing for war over Kashmir. Nuclear weapons aside, India is far superior to Pakistan in terms of military might. That means if there is a war, India's victory is certain. In such a situation, Pakistan starts planning a nuclear attack on India. Now the question is what will Pakistan think first? The answer is that Pakistan's biggest concern in such a situation would be that if it were to launch a nuclear attack, India would also use nuclear weapons in response. This is how Pakistan will end. In such a situation, Pakistan would plan to drop enough nuclear bombs on India that India would be completely destroyed and would not be in a position to retaliate against Pakistan. Here, India is preparing to maintain a nuclear strike capability against the enemy in response to any such nuclear attack. There are two ways to do this.. Thus, it is clear that the ability to fire nuclear weapons from the ground by missiles, from the air by fighter planes and from the sea by submarines is called the nuclear triad.
