Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija said that Hinduism is a disease, which has sickened millions of Indians. He has also defiled the name of God. The slogan of Jai Shri Ram no longer belongs to Ram Rajya. It is used during mob lynching.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader said this after an alleged viral video surfaced. In fact, a video went viral on December 6 in which some people are forcing minor Muslim boys to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'.
Iltija shared the video on her social media platform X, but later deleted it. Bhaskar does not endorse this video.
In a viral video, some people are seen beating minor Muslim boys. These people are brutalizing the children and allegedly forcing them to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'.
Iltija said- Big difference between Hindutva and Hinduism Iltija criticized Hindutva, saying it was an ideology of hate propagated by Veer Savarkar in the 1940s. But I believe that Hinduism, like Islam, is a religion that promotes secularism, love and compassion. So, we should not spoil it deliberately.
Earlier on December 7, Iltija had said that Lord Ram should hang his head in shame and watch helplessly as minor Muslim boys are beaten with slippers because they refuse to take his name.
BJP said – PDP leader should apologize
BJP leader Ravinder Raina said that the PDP leader has used very insulting language for Hinduism. He should apologize. Raina said, “The PDP leader has used very abusive language. Such language should not be used. There may be differences in politics, but abusive language should not be used.
After this, Iltija Mufti made another post, in which he said that “unnecessary violence” in the name of Islam has given rise to 'Islamophobia' and the same is happening with Hinduism. Today it is being used to kill and persecute minorities.
Iltija lost the election from the family stronghold
This time, Mehbooba Mufti did not contest the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. He fielded his daughter Iltija in the election fray. Iltija lost the first election from here. Bijbehra was the stronghold of the Mufti family for 25 years. This time the National Conference candidate has won the election from Bijbehra seat.
