On the issue of Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MP Arvind Sawant's vulgar remarks, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has said that if Balasaheb was alive, he would have smashed Sawant's mouth.
CM Shinde told ANI- It is reprehensible to talk so badly about women. No matter how much it is criticized, it is less. These people claim that they follow the ideology of Balasaheb.
On the other hand, clarifying his statement, Arvind Sawant said – I have not named the Shinde group candidate Shaina NC. I just said that outsiders cannot work here.
In fact, Sawant called Shaina NC on Friday. Shaina filed an FIR against this at the Nagpada police station in Mumbai and demanded action.

- Shiv Sena's Shinde group objected to Sawant's statement. Shaina NCA filed a complaint at Nagpada police station. A defamation case was registered against Sawant. Women activists of Shiv Sena's Shinde group also demonstrated in Mumbai as the controversy escalated.

Sawant said- Shaina is defaming me
Arvind Sawant said on Friday, 'I have been in politics for 55 years. I have always respected women. Shaina NC is my friend. He has worked for me and I respect him. These people are Power Jihadi people. Uddhav Thackeray also says the same. Shaina has filed a defamation case against me, but she is only defaming me.

The Jharkhand minister called BJP leader Sita Soren rejected goods
Before Arvind Sawant, Irfan Ansari, a minister in the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand and a Congress leader, also made a similar controversial statement. After filing the nomination on October 26, he called BJP leader Sita Soren a rejected commodity. Sita Soren is the sister-in-law of CM Hemant Soren.

BJP has reduced from 23 to 9 seats in the Lok Sabha elections
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, out of 48 seats in Maharashtra, INDIA alliance got 30 seats and NDA 17 seats. In which BJP got 9 seats, Shiv Sena got 7 seats and NCP got only 1 seat. BJP has lost 23 seats. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA won 41 seats. In 2014, this figure was 42. That is less than half.

In 2019, there was a BJP-Shiv Sena alliance. BJP won 105 and Shiv Sena 56 seats. NCP got 54 seats and Congress got 44 seats from the alliance. BJP-Shiv Sena could have easily come to power, but the alliance broke up due to differences.
On 23 November 2019, Fadnavis was sworn in as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister. But both resigned on 26 November 2019 before the majority test. On 28 November 2019, Maha Vikas Aghadi of Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress came to power. After this there was a rebellion between Shiv Sena and NCP and 4 parties were formed. Sharad and Uddhav got the lead in the Lok Sabha elections. Assembly elections will be held in all this background.
