Along with this, Ratan Tata was a source of inspiration for young entrepreneurs. He not only mentored many young entrepreneurs but also helped them financially to grow. One such startup is Repose Energy, which was started by Aditi Bhosle Walunj and Chetan Valunj. Ratan Tata invested in an on-demand fuel delivery startup. Aditi Walung mentioned her early days in an old LinkedIn post made in August 2022. In this he told how a phone call from Ratan Tata changed his fate. Before this phone call, both had dreamed that their company should be mentored by Ratan Tata, Chairman of the Tata Group, but despite all efforts, this was not possible.
The story of the phone call was shared in the post Repose Energy founder Aditi Bhosal Walung shared a lengthy post on her LinkedIn account. Aditi wrote, “When Chetan and I started the startup, I said that it would be good if Ratan Tata became a mentor for this. On this all said that it was impossible to meet him. He further said that his courage has not wavered at all due to such things. He prepared a 3D presentation of his project. It clearly explained Repose Energy's goals and plans to transform energy or fuel distribution and delivery systems using technology.
After this, Aditi and Chetan sent this representation along with a letter to Ratan Tata. When there was no response, both went to Ratan Tata's house to meet him. The couple waited outside the house for about 12 hours, but they could not meet and both returned exhausted.
As soon as I got back home, the phone rang and something surprising happened Aditi further said in her post that her 12 hour wait was not in vain, when we returned to the hotel we got a call. As I picked up the phone, the voice on the other end said, 'Hello, can I speak to Aditi?' According to Aditi, when I said who is speaking, a voice came from the front, I am Ratan Tata, I have received your letter, can we meet?
According to Aditi, this was the moment when her biggest dream was coming true. The next day, Aditi and Chetan met the chairman of the Tata Group and told him their plan. Aditi said, In a three-hour meeting, we told about our work and goals. This was followed by the first investment from the Tata Group in 2019 and the second in 2022. He described his business journey as a 'story of courage and passion'.
