'I did the rape of a doctor in Kolkata': drank alcohol, went to red light area, asked girlfriend for nude photos; Accused Sanjay confessed to the crime

Sanjay Roy, the prime accused in the Kolkata rape-murder case, has confessed to his crime in a polygraph test. Sanjay said that he killed the trainee doctor after raping her. He went to the red light area before committing the incident. On the way he molested a girl and demanded nude pictures from her girlfriend. According to the India Today report, Sanjay had said all these things a day before on August 25 in the polygraph test. Even in police custody, Sanjay confessed to rape and murder. This confession of Sanjay has come out after 18 days of murder and rape. A trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College on the night of August 8 and 9. On the morning of August 9, the girl's half-naked body was found in the seminar hall of the medical college. 3 hour polygraph test, Sanjay said 3 things… 1. CBI and Central Forensic Team members conducted a polygraph test on Sanjay for 3 hours on Sunday (August 25). Sanjay confessed that he had raped and killed the trainee doctor. 2. Sanjay told the CBI during the polygraph test that he had consumed alcohol with a friend on August 8. After this he went to the red light area. On the way he molested a girl. After this, Sanjay talked to his girlfriend on a video call late at night and asked for nude pictures. 3. Sanjay stated that around 4 am Sanjay reached the seminar hall of the hospital, where he went to his friend's house that morning after raping and murdering a trainee doctor. His friend was an officer in Kolkata Police. Crying, Sanjay told the judge – maybe a polygraph test will prove his innocence. Sanjay was arrested the day after the incident. Sanjay was a civic volunteer in the medical college itself. After the police, the case was handed over to the CBI on August 14. After this he was produced in court. On August 23, the court allowed the polygraph test of 7 people including Sanjay. Crying in front of the magistrate, he said – I have not committed any crime. I am being tricked. Maybe a polygraph test will prove my innocence. The CBI claimed in the court that after the arrest, Sanjay had confessed his crime. There was neither panic nor regret in him. He narrated the entire incident without hesitation. Sanjay sought permission to sleep, said- tired of constant questioning The main accused Sanjay Roy has been kept in judicial custody in the VIP ward of the Presidency Reformatory. Former Bengal ministers Partha Chatterjee and Jyotipriya Malik and other famous prisoners are also locked up here. Sanjay sought permission from the jail administration to sleep. He said he was exhausted after continuous questioning by the Kolkata Police and CBI for the past two weeks. In the early days, interrogations went on till late at night. That's why I want to sleep. CBI raids former principal Sandeep Ghosh's house On August 24, RG Medical College former principal Sandeep Ghosh, four fellow doctors and a volunteer were subjected to a polygraph test. After this, CBI raided Sandeep Ghosh's house on August 25. The agency searched 15 places of Ghosh and people associated with him. Ghosh is accused of financial malpractice in the medical college. Akhtar Ali, former deputy superintendent of the college, leveled several allegations against him. Sandeep has also undergone a polygraph test. CBI officials said that Ghosh was subjected to a polygraph test to cross-check the statements made by him in connection with the rape and murder on August 8 and 9. Four days after the incident, he resigned from the post of principal.
