Two days before polling in Maharashtra, CM Eknath Shinde said on Sunday that he is not in the race for the CM post. Talking to Aajtak, he said that it is also certain that the CM will be of the Mahayuti. A day ago, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis spoke to ANI about the same thing.
CM Shinde told Aaj Tak – Congress policy is divide and rule. When will Rahul Gandhi call Balasaheb Thackeray the emperor of Hindu heart? Shinde said that Balasaheb Thackeray used to say that I will never let my party become Congress, but Uddhav Thackeray went with Congress for his own interest and to become Chief Minister. Shinde also supported PM Modi's slogan 'If we are united, we are safe'.
All the 288 assembly constituencies of Maharashtra will go to polls in a single phase on November 20. The result will be out on 23rd November.
Fadnavis said – Ajith will take some time to understand the slogan 'Batenge to Katenge' Fadnavis said in an interview to ANI on November 16 that NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar is an expert in breaking up the family and the party. NCP and Shiv Sena broke up due to their excessive ambitions.
Uddhav wanted to become CM so he broke ties with us. After becoming Chief Minister, he wanted to bring Aditya Thackeray forward, so he tried to strangle Eknath Shinde.
He said that BJP's doors are closed for Uddhav Thackeray. The party in Maharashtra will not go with him in future. I already knew about making Shinde CM. I am not in any race for Chief Minister or President.
Ajith said – 'Batenge to Katenge' slogan will not work in Maharashtra, but will work in UP-Jharkhand On November 10, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, speaking to India Today, said that the 'Batange to Katange' slogan would work in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, but not in Maharashtra. I don't support it. Our motto is – Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.
He said that the Chief Ministers of other BJP states should decide what to speak. People from outside Maharashtra come and talk like this. We are working together in Mahayuti, but our parties have different ideologies. It is possible that this works in other states, but it does not work in Maharashtra.
