The counting of votes for the 90 assembly seats of Haryana will start from 8 am today (Tuesday). For this, 93 counting centers have been set up in 22 districts. Two centers each have been set up for the counting of votes in Badshahpur, Gurugram and Pataudi assembly seats and one center each for the remaining 87 seats. The polls held on October 5 saw 67.90% voter turnout in the state, which is 0.03% less than the previous elections.
According to the exit polls of 13 agencies including Bhaskar, Congress is likely to form the government in Haryana. Congress may get 50 to 55 seats, but the trend in Haryana is going in favor of BJP.
In fact, in the 5 assembly elections held in Haryana from 2000 to 2019, this has happened twice when the voting percentage has declined or increased marginally by 1%. Both times a situation of a hung assembly was created in the state. It benefited the party that was in power at the time.
Voter turnout did not increase by 2% in 2009-2019, both times a hung assembly Haryana had a 69% voter turnout in 2000 and the INLD won 47 seats, an absolute majority. The 2005 assembly elections had a voter turnout of 71.9%, which was 2.9% higher than the 2000 elections. After that Congress registered a big victory. It won 67 seats in the 90-seat assembly. That is 21 seats more than the required 46 seats for majority.
Three level security of EVM After voting on Saturday evening, all the EVMs were kept in the strong room. A three-tier security arrangement has been made outside the strong room. Along with this, agents of political parties are also standing firm.
Talking about the big faces, Deputy CM Saini Ladwa, former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Garhi Sampla Kiloi and wrestler Vinesh Phogat Julana, former Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala Uchana and country's richest woman are contesting from Hisar.
12 thousand policemen deployed at counting centers 3-tier security has been set up at the counting centres. Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel are posted in the first tier, State Armed Police (HAP or IRB) personnel in the second tier and District Police personnel in the third tier. Around 12,000 policemen have been deployed at counting centers across the state. CCTV cameras have been installed at all centers. The police have set up a blockade in a 100 meter area around the centre.
