First dropped, then pulled up: BJP woman MLA who went to show green flag to Vande Bharat train fell on the tracks in a stampede, survived, watch VIDEO

On September 16, Monday, an incident occurred while flagging off the Agra-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express train. Like people jostling in a crowded place, something similar happened here. BJP MLA from UP's Etawah Sadar, Sarita Bhadoria, fell on the tracks of the lurching train while trying to signal the green signal to the train, after which policemen and railway workers pulled her back to the platform. However, they narrowly escaped.

In the video, you can see that the incident took place in the middle of a crowded platform when the train arrived around 6 pm. When the 61-year-old second-term BJP MLA was among the crowd carrying the green flag, he fell from the platform after being jostled.

After the virtual inauguration of the Vande Bharat train by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, train number 20175- Agra to Railways was flagged off by Ravneet Singh Bittu.

No physical injury occurred

BJP's Etawah treasurer Sanjiv Bhadoria told the media that the MLA was lifted from the track and helped back to the platform and then waited for some time on the platform for the flag-off event. Later he consulted doctors and is now resting at his home. He was not physically injured.

Various political figures gathered to participate in the flag-off

Before reaching Etawah station, the train used to stop at Tundla. After his arrival there was commotion on the dais as various political figures including Samajwadi Party MP Jitendra Dauvre, former BJP MP Ram Shankar and sitting MLA Sarita Bhadoria gathered to participate in the flag-off.

The platform briefly descended into chaos as supporters jostled for seats as the train's horn signaled its departure. However, in the rush, the MLA fell from the platform on the railway track in front of the train. The train was stopped in time, due to which a major disaster was averted. According to eyewitnesses, Bhadoria was quickly rescued from the track by the police and taken to hospital.

The date will be announced soon

Talking about the date of operation of Vande Bharat Express, Prashasti Srivastav, PRO of Agra Division of Railways, said that the date will be announced soon. The train will cover the distance between Agra and Varanasi in approximately seven hours. Return train number 20176 will run from Varanasi to Agra, while Agra-Varanasi service number will be 20175.
