Fire breaks out at torch rally, more than 50 people burnt: Anti-terrorism rally in Khandwa stampeded; Women and children were also injured

At the conclusion of the programme, some of the torches fell upside down while placing the torches. Due to which the fire started.

A fire broke out during a torch rally in MP's Khandwa, injuring more than 50 people. The incident took place on Thursday late night. His video has also surfaced. There was a stampede when the fire broke out. It is seen in the video that there was destruction among the people.

In this incident, the injured people were brought to the district hospital. Here, police and administration officials reached the district hospital as soon as the information was received. Where after talking to the injured, inquired about their condition and got information about the incident.

Khandwana SP Manoj Rai said – While the torch rally was ending at the city's clock tower, some of the torches fell upside down while placing the torch, due to which the sawdust and oil contained in it ignited the torches lying nearby. Due to which people standing in a circle were burnt, including women and children. People's faces and hands are burnt. 30 people were brought to the district hospital. Out of which 12 people have been admitted. The rest were sent home after first aid.

A torch rally was organized against terrorism

Rashtrabhakt Veer Yuva Manch organized a torch rally in Khandwa under the leadership of Hindutva leader Ashok Paliwal for youth referendum against terrorism. The program was held at Barabam Chowk in Khandwan on Thursday evening. The program, which lasted for 5 hours, was addressed by Hyderabad BJP MLA T Raja and West Bengal BJP Spokesperson and Supreme Court Advocate Nazia Khan. Tributes were also paid to the jawans who died in the 26/11 terror attack in this programme.

The torch rally started late at 11 pm. Half an hour later, the rally ended at Ghantaghar Chowk, during which some of the torches turned upside down while placing them. Due to which the fire broke out. The torch contained flammable material. It is being told that the torch contained wood dust and camphor powder. Due to which the fire flared up more. More than 50 people were injured. There were a thousand torches in the rally. Around 200 torches were lit

Shanta admitted to the hospital said that

We were standing with a torch, suddenly a fire broke out. We threw away the torch we were holding and ran away. The face and hands were burnt by the fire.

An injured woman admitted to the hospital said-

When the children were determined, they were taken along to join the torch rally. While we were standing, a torch fell from someone's hand and a fire broke out. People started running, we had children with us so we fell down. People crushed us.

Among the injured are women and children. who have been admitted to the district hospital.
