A private bus caught fire in Jaipur on Sunday (October 13) night. 25 passengers traveling in the bus somehow managed to save their lives. The bike fell under the moving bus, causing the bus to catch fire due to sparks. Passengers of the bus said their valuables, including jewelery worth lakhs, were burnt.
A bike fell under the bus, sparks flew ASI Lalchand Meena of Sanganer police station said that the Abhay Travels bus was going from Jaipur to Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh. The bus left from Kohinoor Cinema Malpura Gate (Sanganer) at around 10 am. After 15 minutes the bus reached Sanganer Chauradia petrol pump. Meanwhile, a bike fell under the bus. The bus caught fire due to sparks coming out of it. The driver jumped down from the bus. The passengers on the bus started shouting. Passengers also somehow got down from the bus. However, his luggage was left in the bus.
In no time, the bus was engulfed in flames.
The fire was brought under control within an hour Malpura Gate police station brought the fire in the private bus under control with the help of two fire engines in about an hour. There was no casualty in the accident.
The valuables kept in the bus got burnt. The passengers barely escaped with their lives.

After the fire was extinguished from outside, fire brigade personnel boarded the bus and extinguished the burning seats and luggage from inside. Except the iron, all other things in the bus were reduced to ashes. After extinguishing the fire, the policemen examined the bus.
All the goods kept in the bus were burnt to ashes.
Fire fighting cylinders were brought from the petrol pump Rakesh, a traffic policeman present at the scene, said – I saw that the cabin was on fire. I arrived with a fire fighting cylinder from the petrol pump. Tried to put it out, but could not control the fire.
He further said – I did not see how the accident happened. The control room was informed as soon as information about the accident and fire was received. After this, the fire brigade vehicle arrived and the process of extinguishing the fire started.
Traffic policeman Rakesh said that the cabin was on fire.
The couple said they were on their way to a wedding, when their jewelery got burnt A couple showed their burnt belongings and said – all the gold and silver has been burnt. There were gold ornaments in this bag. We were on a bus. The bag was held up. When the accident happened we came out and ran. Didn't get a chance to handle the bag. The woman said – We were going to Farukhabad in UP for my brother's marriage.

Passengers said – the driver ran away, got down to save his life A passenger Saeed Hasan said- I had taken a ticket to go to Farrukhabad. The bus was passing by Sanganer. A sudden fire broke out towards the cabin and the driver got down and ran away. He also did not give information about the fire in the bus. We were with family. Got off the bus to save everyone's lives.
Saeed showed his burnt mobile. He said – all the passengers were going to different places. Most of the passengers were from Farrukhabad. 15-20 passengers were sitting in the bus from Sanganer.
