Elon Musk raised questions on EVMs, scams in elections from EVMs: Musk said- elections should be conducted only with ballot papers; Congress weaponized Musk's remarks

Elon Musk has made a big claim before the presidential election in America. He said that elections are rigged with EVMs. Musk called for elections to be conducted by ballot paper only and counting votes by hand across the country. Musk targeted a company that makes voting machines. However, the company denied Musk's claims.

Questions are being raised on EVMs

Assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu Kashmir have been completed. Assembly elections are to be held in Maharashtra and Jharkhand next month. After the results of the Haryana assembly elections, questions are once again being raised about EVMs. Congress is constantly attacking the Election Commission in this matter.

Rejecting Congress' allegations of malpractice in EVMs

However, the Election Commission is rejecting the Congress' allegations of irregularities in EVMs. Even the BJP is calling them wrong, but amid all this, the statement made by Elon Musk, the world's richest man and CEO of SpaceX, regarding EVMs has given the matter air.

What did Elon Musk say?

Elon Musk said, “I am a technician and I just want to say that voting should not be done through EVMs. Because EVMs can be hacked. EVMs are connected with computer programming and it is possible to hack them.” His statement is important because he is constantly working with scientists on various projects.

Congress raised questions referring to Musk's statement After Elon Musk's statement, Congress has again started raising this issue on social media. Some Congress leaders wrote on X, EVMs can be hacked… Now tell me if Musk is also lying.

Even in June, EVMs were questioned

In June this year, Elon Musk said that EVMs can be hacked, when the Lok Sabha elections were underway. Then Congress made it an issue, when BJP's Chandrasekhar Nanay made a statement that we don't have an internet connected system so you can hack it. If it was connected to the internet it could have been hacked. The matter was suppressed then but once again the genie of EVM hacking has come out.

Elon Musk wrote on June 15 – EVMs should be abolished. It is at risk of being hacked by humans or AI. Although this risk is low, it is still very high. America should not be voting through this.

This case also reached the Supreme Court in India

In April this year, the Supreme Court heard the demand for 100% cross-checking of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) votes and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) slips. However, petitions related to this demand were dismissed in the Supreme Court. Apart from this, people belonging to many political parties are questioning the EVM.
