The e-auction of souvenirs and gifts received by Prime Minister Modi has started from September 17. This was announced by the PM on Thursday 19 September. At least 600 items will be auctioned for the first time in six years. Their base price is Rs. 600 to Rs. Around 10 lakhs.
PM Modi wrote on X, “Whatever souvenir and gift item you like, definitely buy it.” Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also said that the auction will continue till October 2. Apart from preserving history, it also contributes to the well-being of the people.
The first auction was held in January 2019. So far more than 7000 gifts have been placed in the e-auction.

Namami Gange project will get auction money This is the sixth year of the auction of memorabilia received by PM Modi. Like the previous five times, this time too the proceeds from the auction of memorabilia will be invested in the Namami Gange project. 1805 items were auctioned in the first auction in 2019, 2772 items in 2020, 1348 items in the third auction in 2021, 1200 in the fourth auction in 2022 and 912 memorabilia in the fifth auction.
