The air of capital Delhi has become toxic once again. The Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed 400 here late at night. Delhi's AQI was recorded at 391 at 6 am on November 1. If we talk about the 10 most polluted cities in the country, 9 of them are from Uttar Pradesh. UP recorded the highest AQI of 388.
Real time AQI 186 was recorded in Delhi at 5 pm on Diwali day (October 31). That means air went from normal to very bad category in 10-12 hours.

Under this, the use of coal and wood is prohibited in hotels and restaurants. The Commission of Air Quality Management has directed agencies to strictly monitor the operation of old petrol and diesel vehicles (BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel).
The commission has also asked agencies to increase the use of anti-smog guns, water sprinklers and dust repellent technology in road construction, renovation projects and maintenance activities.
