Country Monsoon Tracker: Landslides kill 3 in Nagaland; 64 dead in 7 days due to floods and rains in Andhra-Telangana and Tripura

Three people were killed in floods and landslides in a village in Nagaland's Chumaukedima district late last night. Many people are missing. Search operation is in progress. A section of NH-29 connecting capital Kohima to Dimapur has been completely washed away. 64 people have lost their lives in the last 7 days due to rain and floods in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tripura. 17 people from Andhra, 16 from Telangana and 31 from Tripura have lost their lives. More than 72 thousand people have been displaced in Tripura so far. In Himachal, 78 roads, including 2 national highways, remained closed after rain on Tuesday. Landslides occurred in many places. The weather has declared a yellow alert for thunderstorms on Wednesday i.e. today. 153 people have died due to floods and landslides in monsoon season in Himachal. Today, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in 19 states including Chhattisgarh and Bihar. Impact of floods and rains in pictures… Rain alert in 17 states on September 5 Meteorological department issued Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Aruchanal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttarakhand has issued a heavy rain warning. Weather conditions in states today… Uttar Pradesh: Monsoon weak, 0.5mm rain in 24 hours, Prayagraj was hottest, heavy rain expected on September 6 Monsoon has weakened in UP in the month of September. Due to this, heavy rains are occurring in South India. In 24 hours from September 2 to September 3, 10 districts received only 0.5 mm of rain. This is 93% less rainfall than normal. Lucknow recorded the highest rainfall of 6 mm. Prayagraj was the hottest in UP with a temperature of 36.9 degrees. Haryana: Rain alert in 4 districts today, 6-year record broken in Hisar; Monsoon to slow down after September 8 Many districts of Haryana received heavy rain during the day on Tuesday (September 3). The 6-year record of September rainfall in Hisar was broken. 57 mm of rain was recorded here in the morning. Due to which the low-lying areas of the city were flooded.
