Cartridges found on Air India plane: Flight arrived from Dubai to Delhi on October 27; The cartridges were in the seat pocket

Accused in flight bomb threat case surrendered from Maharashtra.

The cartridges have been recovered from the Air India flight coming from Dubai to Delhi. The incident took place on October 27. This information was revealed on Saturday (November 2). An airline spokesperson said that flight AI916 landed at Delhi airport. Cartridges were found in one of his seat pockets. After which all the passengers were taken off safely.

The news of finding the cartridges comes at a time when bomb threats continue to be made on flights. Over 500 flights received bomb threats in the 16 days between October 14 and 29. All these were found to be false during investigation.

3 bomb threat accused arrested Meanwhile, Jagdish Uike, the accused who made the bomb threat on the plane, has been arrested from Gondia in Maharashtra. Nagpur police said on Friday that he had been sent a notice to appear for investigation, after which he surrendered on October 31.

On October 29, the police identified him in connection with the bomb threat in the plane. The accused has also written a book on terrorism. A team of Nagpur police traced the accused by investigating the fake emails. Special police teams were formed to nab the accused. He was also arrested in a case in 2021.

Delhi Police also arrested 25-year-old Shubham Upadhyay on October 26. He posted two false bomb threats on a flight at IGI Airport on October 25. He did this to become famous.

Earlier, Mumbai Police detained a 17-year-old minor from Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon. He created X account in his name to implicate his friend in a money transaction dispute. On October 14, Flight 4 falsely posted that there was a bomb.

Loss of 1400 crore rupees due to false bomb threat

Airline companies have suffered a loss of Rs 1200 to 1400 crore due to bomb threats in domestic and international flights. According to airline sources, it costs Rs 25 lakh to Rs 4 crore to stop passengers, ground the flight and crew during an emergency landing.

A charge has to be paid at the airport where the emergency landing takes place. The hotels accommodate and cater for over 200 passengers and crew. After this a new crew arrangement is made. This increases the cost of airlines.

The center issued an advisory on social media platforms

The central government has taken a strict stance on these threats. The IT Ministry issued an advisory on October 26, telling social media platforms that if they do not remove such false information immediately, the assistance provided to them under the IT Act will be stopped.

The ministry said that such information must be removed immediately and this information must also be given to the concerned authorities.
