- This is Canada's hypocrisy – Indian Ministry of External Affairs
Canada has blocked an Australian news channel Australia Today and its social media handles. In fact, this channel telecasted the press conference of Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, who had visited Australia. Jaishankar held a press conference with the Australian Foreign Minister on Thursday.
In this conference, Jaishankar criticized Canada for accusing India without solid evidence in the Niger issue. Meanwhile, Jaishankar said that Canada gives political space to anti-India elements. At the same time, he condemned the surveillance of Indian diplomats in Canada. India's Ministry of External Affairs has described Canada's actions as hypocritical. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Canada took this step just a few hours after External Affairs Minister Jaishankar's press conference.
External Affairs Minister Jaishankar visited Australia from November 3 to 7. Meanwhile, Jaishankar interacted with many business leaders and CEOs of companies. Also participated in the 15th India-Australia Framework Dialogue.
In Sydney, Jaishankar discussed issues related to Canada during a press briefing. In the meantime, he emphasized on issues like accusing India without evidence in the Nijjar killing case, keeping an eye on Indian diplomats and giving political space to anti-India elements.
