Cameras installed in tenant's bathroom-bedroom in Delhi: Girl suspected due to WhatsApp mess; Accused landlord's son arrested

A 30-year-old man has been arrested for spying on a female tenant in Delhi's Shakarpur area. The young man installed spy cameras in the girl's bathroom and bedroom.

According to the police, the girl hails from Uttar Pradesh and lives alone in Delhi and is preparing for the civil services exam. Accused Karan is the son of the landlord, who lives on the second floor of the same building.

According to the police, the victim was seeing suspicious activities on her WhatsApp for the past few days. When he inquired with an expert, he found that the WhatsApp account was logged in by someone else.

The victim logged out of his WhatsApp. When he got suspicious, he searched his flat and found a spy camera in his bathroom bulb holder. The victim immediately called the PCR and reported the incident.

Accused Karan hid the camera in this holder and installed it in the bathroom and bedroom.

Cameras found in bulb holders According to police officer Apoorva Gupta, a police officer was sent to the girl's room after receiving a complaint. Apart from the bathroom, the bedroom was searched and a spy camera was found inside a bulb holder. The victim told the police that whenever she went to her house, she used to give her floor key to the landlord's son Karan.

The cameras were installed 3 months ago According to the police, the accused Karan told during interrogation that about 3 months ago he installed a spy camera in a bulb holder. Both spy cameras were equipped with a memory card, from which data could be extracted and transferred. Hence, for some time now, Karan has been constantly asking the victim for the house key on the pretext of repairing fans or other electronic devices.
