IndiGo's Mumbai-Delhi (6E 651) flight made an emergency landing in Ahmedabad following a bomb threat on Wednesday. IndiGo said the flight was diverted to Ahmedabad due to a security alert. Here all the passengers were safely disembarked from the aircraft.
Apart from IndiGo, Akasa Air's Delhi-Bangalore flight (QP 1335) also received a bomb threat. The flight was carrying 177 passengers and a cabin crew of 7 people. After the threat, the flight was brought back to Delhi at 2 pm and landed at the IGI airport. The flight is being searched for bombs.
A total of 9 planes have received bomb threats in two days. On October 15, bomb threats were received in 7 flights. An Air India Express flight from Delhi to Chicago was also involved in this flight. It was diverted to Canada and landed at Iqaluit Airport.
After the Air India Express flight from Madurai to Singapore was threatened, the Singapore Air Force sent two F-15SG fighter planes to provide security. These planes took off at Changi Airport. Security agencies conducted anti-terror drills at several airports due to threat on 7 flights throughout the day.
According to Flight Radar 24, the flight was spotted at Iqaluit Airport in Canada.

A threatening tissue was found in the toilet of a flight from London to Delhi Earlier on October 9, there was a commotion after receiving information that there was a bomb in Vistara Airlines flight UK18 from London to Delhi. About 3.5 hours before the flight reached Delhi, a passenger found a threatening tissue paper in the plane's toilet. He informed the crew member.
The flight landed in Delhi and was taken to Isolation Bay, where all passengers' luggage was checked. However, nothing resembling a bomb was found. After this, questions were raised regarding the fact that the plane continued to fly in the air for 3 and a half hours despite receiving information about the bomb. Land permission can be sought only in the nearest country. On interrogation by the police, the pilot and crew members said that if the flight lands on the road, there is a danger of the plane being hijacked. To avoid this, the flight was brought directly to Delhi.
