Late Monday night, 30 planes have received a bomb threat once again. According to sources in news agency PTI, these include domestic and international flights of IndiGo, Vistara and Air India (AI). More than 120 planes have received bomb threats in the last 8 days.
An IndiGo spokesperson said on Tuesday that four of their flights received security alerts on Monday. These include flight 6E164 from Mangaluru to Mumbai, flight 6E75 from Ahmedabad to Jeddah, flight 6E67 from Hyderabad to Jeddah and flight 6E118 from Lucknow to Pune.
Vistara and Air India spokespeople confirmed on Tuesday that some flights had received security-related threats on social media on Monday. We informed the concerned authorities and all protocols were strictly followed.
Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu on Monday said that though the threats are fake, we cannot take them lightly. We will bring a strict law against him.

Preparing to bring in stricter legislation to deal with threats to aircraft
Union Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu said on Monday that the names of those making such threats could be included in the 'no fly list'. The government is planning to crack down on illegal laws against aviation security regulations and the Civil Aviation Security Act, 1982. He said that the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) is in constant touch with the Ministry of Home Affairs on this issue.
200 crore loss in one week due to threats
As soon as information is received that there is a bomb on the plane, the flight is landed at a nearby airport instead of its designated airport. This not only consumes more fuel, but also makes arrangements to re-check the aircraft, put passengers in hotels and take them to their destinations.
According to a report, about 3 crore rupees have been spent on all this. More than 70 domestic and international flights of Vistara, Air India, IndiGo, Acasa, SpiceJet, Star Air and Alliance Air have received threats this week. The threats have so far caused losses of up to 200 crore rupees.
