Mumbai's Baba Siddiqui murder case prime accused and Lawrence Bishnoi gang shooter Shiv Kumar alias Shivani has been arrested by UP STF and Mumbai Crime Branch. He was caught in Nanpara, 19 km before the Nepal border. Four of his aides have also been arrested. Shivakumar was planning to escape to Nepal.
Other accused arrested include Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava and Akhilendra Pratap Singh. All are residents of Gandara village in Bahraich. He helped Shiv Kumar to shelter and escape to Nepal.
According to the police, Shiva was involved in the October 12 murder of Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. He absconded after the murder, while two of his accomplices have already been arrested.
During interrogation, Shiva Kumar said that he was working for the Lawrence gang through Shubham Lonkar, a scrap dealer. He was promised 10 lakh rupees for killing Baba Siddiqui. After the murder, Shivakumar fled Mumbai and reached Bahraich via Jhansi, Lucknow and was planning to escape to Nepal.
The main accused Shiva said that he spoke to Anmol Bishnoi several times.
Lawrence's brother Anmol Bishnoi said – 10 lakh rupees will be given for the murder During the interrogation, Shiva Kumar said, 'I and Dharmaraj Kashyap are residents of the same village. Worked as a scrap worker in Pune. Mine and Shubham Lonkar's shop were next door. Shubham Lonkar works for Lawrence Bishnoi. He made me talk to Lawrence's brother Anmol Bishnoi several times through snap chat. Anmol told me that he would get 10 lakh rupees for killing Baba Siddiqui. Something will be available every month as well.
Weapons, cartridges, SIMs and mobile phones for the murder were given by Shubham Lonkar and Mohammad Yasin Akhtar. After the murder, the three shooters were given new SIMs and mobile phones to talk to each other. We were doing Baba Siddiqui's Reiki in Mumbai for the last several days. On the night of 12th October, when we got the right opportunity, we killed Baba Siddiqui. As it was a festival that day there were police and crowd. Due to which two people were caught on the spot and I ran away.
'I dropped the phone on the way and went to Pune from Mumbai. From Pune to Bahraich via Jhansi and Lucknow. In between I kept talking to my colleagues and handlers asking for someone's phone. When I spoke to Anurag Kashyap by asking for a phone call from a passenger in the train, he said that Akhilendra, Gyan Prakash and Akash had arranged to hide you in Nepal. That is why I came to Bahraich and was planning to escape to Nepal with my friends.
Mumbai Crime Branch arrested one more shooter on Friday
Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested several shooters in the Baba Siddiqui murder case.
Crime branch arrested one more shooter in Baba Siddiqui murder case on Friday. The name of the accused shooter is Gaurav Vilas Apune (age 23). Gaurav Vilas was part of Plan B to kill Baba Siddiqui.
The crime branch said that Shubham Lonkar, the mastermind of Siddiqui's murder, sent accused Gaurav to Jharkhand on July 28 to practice firing along with another accused Rupesh Mohol.
They were also given weapons. Both the accused returned to Pune on July 29. After returning he contacted Shubham. The crime branch is looking for the exact spot of firing practice.
Police claim- The accused were promised Rs 25 lakh and a trip to Dubai On Friday, police said, four of the 18 accused arrested for carrying out the murder were promised various rewards, including Rs 25 lakh in cash, a car, a flat and a trip to Dubai.
Ramphoolchand Kanojia (age 43), Rupesh Mohol (age 22), Shivam Kuhad (age 20), Karan Salve (age 19) and Gaurav Apune (age 23), who were involved in the conspiracy This reward was promised.
On the night of 12 October, NCP Ajit faction leader Baba Siddiqui was murdered outside his son Jeeshan's office in Bandra. Baba Siddiqui became MLA from Bandra thrice on Congress ticket. Left Congress in February and joined Ajit Pawar.
Shubham Lonkar posted on social media Shubham Lonkar posted on social media 28 hours after Baba Siddiqui's murder. In which Lawrence Gang and Anmol were hash tagged. The gang claimed responsibility for Siddiqui's murder. The threat was that if anyone helped Salman, he would not be spared.
