- 2 shooters who killed Siddiqui were from UP and 1 each from Haryana-Punjab
NCP (Ajit Group) leader and former minister Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai on the night of October 12. The Lawrence gang claimed responsibility for Baba Siddiqui's murder. Out of the 4 attackers who fired at him, 2 are from UP, 1 from Haryana and 1 from Punjab. The investigating agency is now gearing up to question Lawrence Bishnoi, after both the shooters who were arrested from the shooters who shot Baba Siddiqui have claimed that they are associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Investigating agencies may interrogate Lawrence Bishnoi lodged in Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Jail. Legal advice is being sought for this, as court approval is required for the inquiry. The accused has claimed that he is associated with Lawrence Bishnoi. Investigating agencies will try to find out during the inquiry whether the reason for Baba Siddiqui's death was his closeness with Salman Khan or some other reason.
Gurmel from Haryana and Dharamraj from UP were arrested on the spot. The search is on for the other accused Shiv from UP and Jeeshan from Punjab. The Mumbai court has sent Gurmel to seven-day police remand. Dharmaraj declared himself a minor. He was subjected to the Bourne test in front of the magistrate. In which it has been revealed that his age is more than 18 years.
Baba Siddiqui was buried on October 13 at 10.30 pm in the Bada graveyard opposite the Marine Lines station in Mumbai. He was also awarded the state honour.

On Sunday, the Lawrence gang claimed responsibility for Baba Siddiqui's murder in a social media post. Police are also investigating this post. It reads, “Salman Khan and those who helped Dawood will not be spared.” Lawrence and Anmol are hashtagged in this post.
Shubham Lonkar posted with ID Shubu Lonkar Maharashtra. Shubham's brother Praveen Lonkar (28) has been arrested by the Mumbai Police from Pune. Both the brothers are involved in the conspiracy to kill Baba.
Security at Salman Khan's house has also been beefed up after Lawrence's name surfaced. The Lawrence gang fired at Salman's house in April this year.
A user named Shubu Lonkar Maharashtra has shared a post on social media claiming responsibility for Siddiqui's murder.
Lawrence is currently lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail. He fired outside Salman's house on April 14. Lawrence will be interrogated in prison.
Baba Siddiqui was killed in front of his MLA son Jeeshan's office in Bandra. He was shot three times. He left the Congress and joined Ajit Pawar's NCP in February this year. Siddiqui has been MLA from Bandra three times.
Information about Y category security is wrong: Mumbai Police
Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi claimed that Baba Siddiqui has been given Y category security. Even then he was killed. DCP Mumbai Datta Nalavde refuted this claim and said – Baba Siddiqui got non-category security. Three constables were posted for their security. All the policemen were present at the spot at the time of the incident.
Shiv was working in Pune for 6 years, Gurmel was released from jail and moved to Mumbai
Mumbai Police has confirmed the contract killing. Siva and Dharamraj, who were involved in the murder, are residents of Bahraich in UP, both have no previous criminal record. Gurmel is a resident of Haryana. Jeeshan Akhtar is a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab. Dharamraj and Gurmel have been arrested. Shiv and Jeeshan are absconding. It is being said that he was given a contract to kill.
Shiv was working with a scrap dealer in Pune for about 5-6 years. A few months ago, he also invited Dharmaraj to Pune. The person who gave the contract of murder introduced Shiva and Dharamraj to Gurmel.
Gurmel is a resident of Kaithal district. He killed his friend's brother by stabbing him 52 times with an ice needle. In prison he came in contact with gangster Lawrence's Sagaritos. After getting bail, he went to Mumbai. According to police sources, it was the Lawrence gang that called him to Mumbai.
Baba Siddiqui murder accused goes to Mumbai to alleviate poverty, becomes contract killer of Lawrence gang
The names of two Bahraich youths have come up in the Baba Siddiqui murder case in Mumbai. Both Dharamraj Kashyap and Shiv Kumar alias Shiv Gautam, who were involved in the incident, were residents of Gandara village of Kaisarganj Kotwali in the district. Both went to Mumbai to earn money to support the family.

Gurmel Singh (23), the accused in Baba Siddiqui's murder, is a resident of Narad village in Kaithal district of Haryana. On May 31, 2019, he went to jail for killing his friend's brother. There he came in contact with colleagues of Lawrence. After getting bail, he went to Mumbai. On the news of Siddiqui's murder, his grandmother Fulli Devi said – when he has not spared my shame, now even if he is shot standing on the road, we have nothing to do.
Lawrence's network expanded like Dawood Ibrahim's The NIA has compared Lawrence Bishnoi with Dawood Ibrahim in its report. It is mentioned on page number 50. It has been written that like Daoud, Lawrence also expanded his network.
D Company leader Dawood Ibrahim runs everything from drugs business to target killing, extortion and terror syndicate. In the 1980s, he was involved in crimes like theft and robbery. After this he started committing local organized crime. Gradually formed his own gang. It was called D-Company.

The NIA believes that Lawrence Bishnoi is also running an organized terror syndicate in North India. He also started with petty crimes. After this a gang was formed. After which its network has expanded rapidly.
Dawood Ibrahim expanded the gang with the help of Chhota Rajan. Similarly, along with Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, Sachin Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Vikram Brar, Kala Jethedi, Kala Rana expanded the gang network across 13 states.
