A new hit and run case has come to light in Maharashtra's Pune. An Audi car hit a food delivery boy near Tadigutta in Mundhwa area. He was then run over by a car.
The injured biker was admitted to hospital, where he died. The deceased was identified as Rauf Akbar Shaikh. The police said that earlier in the morning, the car also hit a scooter, in which three were injured.
Based on the CCTV footage, the police have arrested the accused. He was identified as 34-year-old Ayush Tayal. He is a senior officer in a private company. The police arrested him from his home.

The accused did not stop even after hitting the car According to the Pune Police, the incident took place on Thursday (October 10) at around 1.35 am. The accused in an Audi car first rammed the scooter outside the Google office in Mundhwa area. He then rammed the food delivery boy's bike. Preliminary information revealed that the car driver was drunk.
The accused did not stop the car even after hitting the bike rider. He crushed the injured man under the car and sped away. The police had earlier identified the car from the CCTV cameras installed nearby. Then found its owner. The accused was arrested from his house in Hadapsar area.
The body of the car is also damaged on both sides. The bumper is also cracked.
Pune Police has taken possession of the car and kept it in Mundhwa Police Station.
