In the year 2020, terrorists abducted Territorial Army jawan Shakir Manzoor Wage in Kashmir. Five days after the incident, the family found Shakir's clothes near the house. The incident took place on 2nd August. Then 24-year-old Shakir Wage went missing near his home in Harman, Shopian, south Kashmir.

Shakir's body was found a year after the abduction Shakir was stationed in 162-TA in Balapur in South Kashmir. He went to his home on the day of Bakri Eid. Along with the abduction, the terrorists also burnt the jawan's car. Even after many searches, he was not found.

Shakir's body was found in Kulgam district in September 2021, a year after his abduction. After the investigation, the police contacted Shakir's family. His father Manzoor Ahmed Wage said that after identifying the body, it was found to be his son Shakir.

5 days ago 2 terrorists were killed in Kupwara

2 terrorists killed, 5 security personnel injured in Kulgam

South Kashmir DIG Javid Iqbal Mattoo told Bhaskar that two terrorists killed in the Adigam encounter have been identified. One of these terrorists is Aqib Ahmed Shergojri, a resident of Budgam's Chadura. Another terrorist is Umais Wani, a resident of Chawalgam in Kulgam. Both were working for the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Based on intelligence inputs, the army and police launched a joint operation in Kulgam.

Investigation has revealed that the terrorist, with the help of an underground worker in the jail, identified several youths who were induced to join militancy in the Tral area of ​​Awantipora.

According to the police, Pakistan's terror handlers also selected some places to plant IEDs with the help of these youths. Handler also gave the youths money to make the IED, so they could bring the materials for it.

Pistols and grenades were also given to the youth. Youths were instructed to carry out terrorist activities like target killing, throwing grenades at security forces, grenade attacks on non-Kashmiri laborers in public places and IED explosions.

Police seized 5 IEDs, 30 detonators, 17 batteries of IEDs, 2 pistols, 3 magazines, 25 rounds, 4 hand grenades and Rs 20,000 in cash.

During September 13-14, 5 terrorists were killed at 3 locations, two jawans were martyred.
