Tension has risen in the area after a 55-year-old man went missing in West Imphal, Manipur on Tuesday. The missing person has been identified as Laishram Kamalbabu Singh.
He left home on Monday afternoon to go on duty at the Limakhong Army Camp in Kangpokpi and has been missing ever since. His mobile phone is also switched off. He was doing a manual job in an army camp. Police and Army are conducting a search operation to find Kamal Babu.
On Tuesday, a large number of people from the village were going to Limakhong to search for Kamalbabu, but the police stopped them near Kanto Sabal. After this the crowd got agitated and people blocked the roads.

6 Maitai people were kidnapped and killed On November 11, Kuki militants abducted and killed six Maitai people (three women, three children) from Jiribam. Among these dead bodies was that of a 3-year-old child, Chingkhenganba. Doctors found a bullet wound in the child's head. Part of the brain and the right eye were missing. It is speculated that the child was shot in the head at close range, causing part of his brain to blow out. He had multiple knife wounds on his chest and body and fractured hands.
There is fear of rising tension in Manipur after the post mortem report. Therefore, late on Sunday evening the state government withdrew the order to open schools and colleges in the five curfew districts of Imphal Valley and Jiribam. Schools and colleges were to be opened here from today.
In fact, security forces killed 10 Kuki-Jo terrorists in an encounter in Jiribam. After this Kuki terrorists kidnapped 6 people of Maitai family. There were three women and three children. They took refuge in the relief camp at Jiribam. Their bodies were found floating in the river on November 16.
All the 6 people seen in the picture belonged to Maitai community. Currently only 3 (circled in red) have postmortem reports.

Jiribam police have the postmortem report of Thajmanbi Devi. The joint committee demanding justice for the deceased said that the police have refused to give the rest of the report. He has said that he will give the report only on the order of the court.

CM said- This is happening in Manipur, I am ashamed On Sunday, the Manipur Police said that 7 people have been arrested in the last two days in connection with arson and looting of MLAs' houses. Three people were arrested on November 22 from Kakching district. On November 23, 4 people were arrested from Imphal West. The total number of arrests has reached 41.
On November 22, CM N Biren Singh said that the people involved in the arson and looting have been identified. Legal action is being taken against them. He said that I am ashamed to say in public that such incidents are happening in Manipur.
288 companies of CAPF deployed in security of Manipur 288 companies of the Central Armed Forces have been deployed for the security of Manipur. Another 90 companies were deployed on Friday. Susindro has been in the news a lot. When arms were being looted in Manipur, he made a drop box for arms in his house so that people could deposit their arms. Susindro hails from the Meitei community.

A mob of vandals also looted cash worth Rs 18 lakh from the MLA's residence in Thangmaeiband area. Goods kept for displaced people were also destroyed.

NPP said- will support Manipur CM only if he is removed The National People's Party (NPP), which has withdrawn support to the BJP-led government in Manipur, has said that the party may reconsider its decision if it removes Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
National Vice President of NPP Yunam Joykumar Singh said- Biren Singh has completely failed to bring peace in the state. Due to this, the National President of NPP withdrew support from the government.
However, the withdrawal of support has not affected the Manipur government as the BJP has an absolute majority with 32 MLAs in the 60-member house. Naga People's Front and JDU are also in the ruling coalition.
MLA may have participated due to confusion – Joykumar Joykumar claimed that three NPP MLAs attended the meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on November 18, which could be due to confusion. This meeting was for NDA MLAs. Not only have we withdrawn support from the Biren Singh-led government, but we are still allies of the NDA.
However, we have warned our legislators that action may be taken against them if they attend such meetings without the prior approval of the state or national president.
The Central Government recently announced the deployment of 50 new CAPF companies in Manipur.

Violent incidents took place in Manipur in November
- 11 November: Militants fired from a hill on farmers working in the fields in Manipur's Yaingangpokpi Shantikhongban area, killing one farmer and injuring several others.
- November 9-10: On November 10, firing incidents took place in Sansabi, Sabungkhok Khunau and Thamnapokpi areas of Imphal East district. On November 9, a 34-year-old woman was killed by militants in Saiton in Bishnupur district. The woman was working in the field at the time of the incident.
- 8 November: Six houses were torched by armed militants in Jairawan village of Jiribam district. Villagers alleged that the attackers also opened fire. A woman died in this incident. The deceased woman was identified as Josangkim Humar (31). He has 3 children. Villagers alleged that the attackers belonged to the Meetei community. After the incident, many people left the house and ran away.
- 7 November: A woman belonging to the Hamar tribe was killed by suspected militants. They also set fire to houses in Jiribam. In the police case, her husband has alleged that she was raped before being burnt alive. A day later, a woman from the Maitai community was shot dead by suspected Kuki insurgents.
560 days of violence in Manipur The violence between Kuki-Maitai has been going on for more than 560 days. During this period, 237 people have died, more than 1500 people have been injured, 60 thousand people have left their homes and live in relief camps. About 11 thousand FIRs were registered and 500 people were arrested.
During this time there were incidents like naked parade of women, gang rape, burning alive and throat slitting. Even now Manipur is divided into two parts. There are Kukis in the hill districts and Meitis in the plains districts. Boundaries are drawn between the two, crossing means death.
