Akbaruddin Owaisi revisits '15 minutes': Says in 2012 – Remove police for 15 minutes, you will know who is powerful

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi was campaigning in Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) on Tuesday. In the meantime, Akbaruddin said- 'Promotion time is 10 o'clock, now it's 9:45 o'clock, still 15 minutes left…'

Akbaruddin told the people in the election rally, 'Hey brother, 15 minutes left, be patient, neither she is leaving me nor I am leaving her. Running, but what a buzz.'

This controversial statement of Owaisi is being linked to a speech given 12 years ago. In fact, even in 2012, Akbaruddin gave a provocative 15-minute statement. He then said, 'If you remove the police from the country for 15 minutes, you will know who is powerful.'

Akbaruddin questioned the guarantees of the parties In his speech, Akbaruddin challenged prominent leaders of Maharashtra and asked if leaders like Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde could pledge their loyalty after the elections. He asked, 'Will Sharad Pawar give an assurance that he will not form an alliance with PM Modi after the elections?'

Owaisi said- 'Can Ajit Pawar promise not to come back to Sharad Pawar after the counting of votes? Will Uddhav Thackeray give an assurance that he will not rejoin the BJP?, and can Eknath Shinde promise to stay away from the Thackeray faction after the elections?'

4 points of Akbaruddin Owaisi's statement…

  • I am openly saying that I am an enemy of Modi-Yogi. Heard that Yogi Adityanath is coming for election campaign. After your arrival, Yogi and Narendra Modi, Akbar will also come.
  • In the name of mob lynching, in the name of beef, in the name of homecoming, in the name of wearing a hat on the head, in the name of the beard that you cut, isn't your hatred weakening India?
  • If anyone is oppressed in India, it is the Muslims and Dalits. This country belongs to the tilak and turban wearer as much as to the beard and hat wearer.
  • These people have no ideology. If they want anything, they want a seat. If you do not use your vote properly, someone will take your vote and plant it at the feet of Hindutva.

He went to jail when he made a controversial statement, but was acquitted Akbaruddin, an MLA from Chandrayangutta, Telangana, said in 2012 – India, we are 25 crores, you are 100 crores, ok you are much more than us, remove the police for 15 minutes, we will tell who is brave and who is powerful. A case was also registered against Akbaruddin due to this statement. He also went to jail, but later the court released him on suspicion.

He is a six-time MLA from Chandrayangutta in Telangana. His party is contesting 16 seats in Maharashtra, for which both the brothers are currently in Maharashtra to campaign.
