An Air India Express flight from Tiruchalappalli to Sharjah has made an emergency landing. As soon as it took off at 5.40 pm, the hydraulic system connected to the plane's landing gear failed. After this the plane circled in the sky for about 3 hours. After this the plane landed safely at around 8.15 pm.
Air India Express flight number AXB 613 was carrying 141 passengers and crew members. An emergency was declared at the airport as soon as the malfunction was reported. According to information, the pilot was circling the sky to reduce the fuel present in the aircraft.
According to information, the fire brigade and ambulance were deployed at the airport after receiving an emergency message from the pilot. Besides, the emergency rescue team was also kept ready. The entire airport staff was put on alert. As soon as the landing was announced by air traffic control, the landing was carried out according to the prescribed procedure.
