A bus carrying 56 pilgrims collided with a roadways bus in Shahjahanpur. 51 passengers have been injured in this accident. All are undergoing treatment. The bus was taking devotees from Ahmedabad to Ayodhya for darshan.
Then the accident took place near Philnagar village on the National Highway in the Katra Police Station area. The passengers informed the police. The team reached the spot and took all to the hospital, where after examination the doctor referred 5 to the district hospital.

Bus-driver Durgesh Singh Ranawat said that we left for Ayodhya from Ahmedabad. Today at 4 o'clock in the morning when we reached the village of Philnagar, there was a roadways bus standing in front. While trying to save the bus, a truck came from the other side.
I braked to save both, but the bus entered the roadways. After that, it also hit the bushes on the side of the road. Screams echoed on the highway as the bus hit. Many people were injured. Many people were injured in the head and some in the hands and feet.

As soon as the accident happened, the people of the surrounding village also came. I got hurt too. The police were immediately informed. After some time, Deputy District Magistrate Jeet Singh Rai, Police Area Officer Amit Chaurasia along with local police station in-charge Omshankar Shukla reached the spot.
All were rescued and rushed to hospital. Everyone is being treated here. All are doing well now. Five passengers who were with us were seriously injured. The doctor sent him to the district hospital.
Local MLA Veer Vikram Singh Prince also reached with his team on getting information about the incident and inquired about the condition of the injured, he distributed fruits and directed the hospital management to provide all possible help and treatment.
