Six days after Hemant Sore was sworn in as CM, 11 ministers took oath at Raj Bhavan's Ashok Park on Thursday. Governor Santosh Gangwar administered the oath. 5 ministers have been repeated in the new government. Whereas, JMM and Congress have replaced 50% of their ministers.
The special thing is that for the first time after the formation of the state, ministers have not been made from the forward quota. Before this, one or two ministers were always made from the forward quota. Mithilesh Thakur, who won the election from Garhwa last time, became the minister as a Brahmin face. This time he has lost the election. After this INDI Alliance has abolished the forward quota.
Experts believe that the forwards are traditional BJP voters. For this reason also the Hemant Soren government did not give importance. However, the names of Chunna Singh and Anant Dev Pratap were in discussion in the ministerial race from this quota.
In the cabinet, 6 MLAs from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), 4 from Congress and one MLA from RJD have become ministers. JMM's Hafizul Hasan took oath in Urdu. The remaining 10 ministers took oath in Hindi. Hemant Soren took oath as Chief Minister alone on November 28 at Morhabadi Maidan.
JMM repeats 3 ministers, 3 new faces JMM has repeated three ministers in the new cabinet. Chaibasa MLA Deepak Birua, Ghatshila MLA Ramdas Soren and Madhupur MLA Hafizul Hasan Ansari have become ministers this time as well. All three were ministers in the previous government of Hemant Soren.
At the same time, the party has fielded three new faces – Giridih MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Gomiya MLA Yogendra Prasad and Bishunpur MLA Chamra Linda. Yogendra hails from the Kurmi/Mahatto community and is very close to Hemant Soren. While Sudivya has already won elections from Giridih twice. They are said to be close to Kalpana Soren. Kalpana is MLA from Gande seat in Giridih district.
Deepak Birua is a product of the Jharkhand movement. During the movement in 1998, he came in contact with Dhanshyam Darbara, secretary of Tata College Students' Union, Chaibasa. After this he joined the movement.
At the same time, the fate of Ramdas Soren was open when former CM Champai Soren left the JMM. The party made him its face in the Kolhan area and made him a minister for the last time as well. This time also he has been made a minister. Ramdas defeated Champai's son Babulal Soren in the election.
An opportunity for two old and two new faces from Congress Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari, Mahagama MLA Deepika Pandey Singh, Chattarpur MLA Radhakrishna Kishor and Mandar MLA Shilpi Neha Tirki have become ministers from the Congress quota. Irfan Ansari was the rural development minister in Hemant Soren's previous cabinet. While Deepika Pandey Singh was the Agriculture Minister. The party has made Radhakishor and Shilpi Neha ministers for the first time.
Dr. Irfan Ansari of Congress who won the election from Jamtara is always in discussion because of his statements. During the election, he made a controversial statement about his opponent Sita Soren. BJP was aggressive on this issue. At the same time, Deepika Pandey Singh, who won from the Mahagama assembly seat, is the daughter-in-law of Awadh Bihari Singh, a minister in the Bihar government. Deepika's mother, who holds an MBA-LLB degree, was also a Congress leader.
Radhakrishna Kishore has become a minister from SC quota. While Shilpi Neha Tirki is the daughter of former minister Bandhu Tirki. And she is a dynamic woman leader of Congress. He is very active in the field.
RJD trusts its Yadav vote bank In the Jharkhand government, the RJD has tried to tap its Yadav vote bank. The party has made Godda MLA Sanjay Yadav a minister from its quota. He is very reliable of Lalu Yadav. Having Sanjay Yadav as a minister is beneficial for RJD in view of Bihar elections. Yadav has won the election after 15 years. Earlier in 2009, he won from Godda on RJD ticket. Currently, he is the state general secretary of the party.
The RJD made Sanjay Yadav, a close associate of Lalu Yadav, a minister.
Sanjay Yadav is the richest minister in the Hemant cabinet. His total wealth is 28 crore rupees. At the same time, the cabinet minister with the least wealth is JMM's Hafizul Hasan Ansari. His wealth is one crore rupees.
Most of the Cabinet Ministers of Santhal Pargana Maximum 4 MLAs from Santhal Pargana have been made ministers in the new government. JMM and Congress have given two ministerial posts each. In the 2024 assembly elections, the India Bloc registered a landslide victory in 17 out of 18 Santhal seats.
Here the BJP raised the issue of Bangladeshi infiltration strongly, but the NDA suffered a major defeat. BJP, which won three times, lost the Sarath and Rajmahal seats.
CM Hemant Soren was present at the Raj Bhavan along with his wife Kalpana Soren.
2 ministers each from Kolhan and South-North Chotanagpur Two MLAs each from Kolhan, North Chotanagpur and South Chotanagpur divisions have been made ministers in the new government. Both Kolhan's ministers were in the previous government as well. Both the ministers from South Chotanagpur have been appointed for the first time. Also, two new ministers have also been made from North Chotanagpur division.
India Bloc won 12 out of 14 seats in Kolhan. Here BJP could win only from Saraikela. From there, former CM Champai Soren offered a lotus. While the ally JDU won from Jamshedpur West. Kolhan is the tribal belt, where JMM has a strong hold.
While in South Chotanagpur India Bloc won 13 out of 15 seats. This time two ministers have been made from here. The Congress has made Shilpi Neha Tirki, daughter of Bandhu Tirki, while the JMM has made Chamra Linda a minister for the first time. While India Block won 10 seats out of 25 seats in North Chotanagpur. This area is a stronghold of BJP. NDA won 14 seats. Politics here is based on caste factor. This is the reason why Yogendra Prasad from the Mahato community and Sudivya Kumar Sonu from the Vaishya community have been made ministers.
Only one minister from Palamu Ministers of all five departments have been made in the new government. Palamu has got only one ministerial post. Congress has made Chhatarpur MLA Radhakrishna Kishor a minister. He hails from SC community.
India Bloc won 5 out of 9 seats in Palamu. Due to its proximity to Bihar, caste and community politics dominate here.
